Hourly Pay Range: $23.00 - $25.00
Position Summary:
A QC Tech at Brannan performs routine duties to complex field observations for the purpose of verifying Ready Mix Concrete materials meet the construction plans and specifications. This is done by the testing and inspection of products used to manufacture concrete.

Position Summary:
A QC Tech at Brannan performs routine duties to complex field observations for the purpose of verifying Ready Mix Concrete materials meet the construction plans and specifications. This is done by the testing and inspection of products used to manufacture concrete.
Functional Responsibilities:
- Post sampling: QC Techs will analyze test data and take corrective action to prevent any non-conforming products, while documenting test results and maintaining all testing equipment
- QC Techs are responsible for following proper procedures, maintaining accurate computations, and reporting of all findings throughout the day
- Techs are also responsible for reviewing KPI's and quality control reports
- Ensures that all appropriate tests are completed and monitored so that adjustments can be made to make consistent quality production
- Investigates customer complaints thoroughly and handles responses appropriately. Looks for root causes of all problems and utilizes problems as a means of educating field team members about the principles of quality production
- Works with management to ensure optimal production from plants. Analyzes accuracy of plant batching and provides recommendations for improvement
- Performs plant audits to ensure that plants comply with technical policy
- Becomes a leader in usage and mix verification to improve production and to eliminate quality complaints
- Available to assist at the job site at any time. Visits job sites to respond to quality control issues and to ensure that Technical Services and Quality Control Standard Operating Procedures are being followed. Does not go to job sites to provide pump coordination services or slump monitoring services

- Minimum of 2 years technical experience
- Valid Driver's License
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work extended hours
- Background in material testing and running gradations
- Current ACI Level I Certification preferred
- Standing - 8 to 10 hours daily
- Walking - 8 to 10 hours daily
- Sitting - 8 to 10 hours daily
- Bending/Stooping - 8 to 10 hours daily
- Repetitive Movement (shoveling/sweeping) - 8 to 10 hours daily
- Lifting (weights up to 50 lbs.) - Occasionally
- Lift and Carry (50/60 lbs. for 20 feet) - Regularly
- Push / Pull - 8 to 10 hours daily
