Job Summary

The Business Analyst will play a critical role in transforming complex data into actionable business insights to support strategic decision-making across the Nordson T&I. With expertise in data mining, advanced analytics, and visualization tools such as Power BI, this role will focus on analyzing transactional data from ERP system, and market information to identify trends, forecast performance, optimize sales and product strategies.

The Business Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as product management, sales operations, and marketing teams, to drive data-driven decisions, improve operational efficiency, and enhance overall business performance. A key responsibility will be developing user-friendly reporting processes to provide real-time insights into key business metrics, ensuring stakeholders have the timely and accurate data they need to make informed decisions.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

Product Portfolio and Pricing Strategy Optimization:
  • Conduct Quartile Analysis and QUAD Model on current products, to inform product simplification strategy and pricing for the upcoming years.
  • Conduct marginal analysis for products to identify margin and update prices, ensuring alignment with future business development strategy.
  • Develop and maintain interactive Power BI reports to provide real-time insights into sales performance, product trends, and key metrics across regions and customers, ensuring data-driven decisions for business optimization.
  • Assist in sales forecasting and identify key trends and discrepancies in revenue, quantities sold, and product growth.
Market and Competitive Analysis:
  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to understand industry trends and provide insights on pricing, product positioning, and customer demand.
  • Compile customers financials quarterly and annually to aid in decision making for future projects investments.
  • Visualize and communicate the sales performance of top customers, highlighting regional and product-specific trends to inform strategic decision-making for upcoming fiscal periods.
Cross-Functional Collaboration and Strategic Support:
  • Work with teams across Product, Sales and Marketing to gather and share critical data insights, supporting business strategies and decision-making.
  • Provide ongoing support for ad-hoc reporting requests, ensuring the timely delivery of data to assist in day-to-day business operations and strategy formulation.
  • Provide data driven reports for cross-functional meetings and help refine strategies based on performance data.
Education and Experience Requirements
  • Master's degree in data science/Applied Economics /Engineering
  • Advanced knowledge of Office, Power BI
  • Knowledge of SAP, Business warehouse, Semiconductor Industry
  • Professional experience in process development and data management preferred
Preferred Skills and Abilities
  • Sound judgment and reasoning ability to escalate sensitive, urgent matters to appropriate personnel for resolution
  • Ability to interpret report data and present on findings and respond to questions from managers or other internal customers
  • Organized analytical thinking, good communication skills, detailed orientated and precise work style, able to cope with tight deadlines
  • Ability to work well within all organizational layers up to and including senior management
  • Familiarity with T&I Products and semi-conductor industry.
