JOB DESCRIPTION
Under direction of the Washington, DC Conference Services & Firmwide Events Manager, you will work with the Conference Services Coordinator to efficiently manage and coordinate all services for conference spaces, break rooms, pantries, and visiting attorney offices by being professional, caring, resourceful and motivated. Additionally, you will partner with the other Conference Services Coordinators and firm event planners to ensure that operations can successfully meet client expectations. A Conference Services Attendant is proactive, anticipating clients' needs as well as responds promptly to the requests of customers by aligning services to the customers' needs and schedules. Conference Services Attendants are required to become ServSafe certified in both Food Safety and Alcohol Service in accordance with state law.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintain conference space, kitchens, break rooms and visiting attorney offices in a neat, clean and orderly manner in accordance with the established firmwide Return to Inventory (RTI) procedures documented on the department's ABNet Private Site.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES
Maintain conference space, kitchens, break rooms and visiting attorney offices in a neat, clean and orderly manner in accordance with the established firmwide Return to Inventory (RTI) procedures documented on the department's ABNet Private Site.
Additional responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
- Manage inventory of supplies and keep assigned areas stocked.
- Ensure firm equipment (dinnerware, machinery, and event supplies) is cleaned, sanitized and organized on a daily basis, as well as maintained to the standards outlined on ABNet Private site.
- Working knowledge of basic technology equipment functionality in conference rooms/floors
- Preparation, execution, and closeout of special office social and business-related events
- Work in an EMS on-line reservation environment. Responsible for making edits to assigned conference rooms (if needed) into EMS.
- Ensure food safety practices are being followed in accordance with the DC Department of Public Health.
- Assist in placing food orders in the absence of the Conference Services Coordinator with caterers and process food preparation and set up upon delivery.
- Maintain safe working environment in kitchen and dining area.
- Perform other related duties in the Conference Services Department as assigned by supervisor.
- Assisting the Conference Services Coordinator and all other departments, firmwide, in coordinating meetings and events place in the firm.
- Work closely with Guest Services in processing receipts & invoices.
- Coordinate and ship A&B branded goods / supplies to other offices as needed.
- Coordinate A&B Branded inventory of items (napkins, cups, mugs, coasters) and ensure adequate demand of supplies is met for firmwide operation.
- Develop relationships with all vendors, delivery personnel and relevant suppliers.
- Perform other related duties in the Conference Services Department as assigned by supervisors.

- Ability to maintain required ServSafe Certification(s) associated with food service.
- Proficiency with firm issued mobile device, to be utilized during workday and on person, functioning at all times while in the office.

- Strong command of the English language, both verbal and written.
- Ability to communicate Firm, Administrative Support Services, and Conference Services Standards outlined in the Firm Manual and ABNet Private Site to colleagues, clients and other individuals.

Required:
- Previous experience of 5 or more years in the hospitality industry.
- Proficiency in Outlook, MS Word and Excel is necessary.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Positive interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Basic experience with audio visual equipment.
- ServSafe certification in Food Safety in accordance with DC state law
- Previous experience with on-line reservations software is relevant.
- Experience in a 4-diamond resort or higher preferred.
- Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, fingers and legs.
- Reaching above head, crouching and kneeling to gain access to food and bar supplies and equipment.
- Ability to remain standing and walk around during normal work shift for about six or seven hours each day.
- Ability to walk up and down stairs if necessary.
- Ability to push catering carts loaded with chafing dishes filled with food, China, glassware, silverware, flowers, or rolling bar with supplies weighing about 50-60 lbs.
- Ability to lift chafing dishes filled with food weighing about 30 lbs. or boxes of wine and alcoholic beverages and subsequently to lift them 40" high to set them on buffets or bars.
- Talking - expressing or exchanging ideas by means of spoken word. Ability to convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately.
- Hearing - ability to receive detailed information through oral communication.
