Position Summary & Duties: The Project Engineer is an onsite position working for a client in the Port Sulphur, LA area.

We are seeking a Project Engineer to support a greenfield liquefied natural gas (LNG) project that is currently under construction. This role reports to the Principle Engineer and involves reviewing process design, process flow, and operational engineering to meet project objectives in collaboration with EPC contractors and consultants.

Project Engineer Responsibilities:
• Process MOC/HAZOP signoff
• Contribute to weekly site engineering reports
• Reviews process design and operational engineering to meet project objectives in collaboration with EPC contractors and consultants.


Qualifications:

Project Engineer Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering (PE or CEng license preferred).
• Minimum 5 years in engineering or operations within the oil and gas sector, preferably LNG or similar industries (petrochemical, cryogenic, or hydrocarbon processing).
• CAPEX Construction experience preferred.
• Experience working with Feed Gas and Pre-Treatment systems, Liquefaction and Refrigeration Systems, HHC Management systems, Storage and Loading / BOG management Systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and process simulation tools (HYSYS, Aspen Plus).
• Familiarity with major design codes/standards and key equipment for LNG liquefaction.
• TWIC card in good standing; commissioning, startup, and performance testing experience is a plus.
• Must be located within daily commuting distance of Port Sulphur, LA. Highly qualified non-local candidates may be considered and paid per diem.
