Product Line Engineer

ChampionX has an immediate opening for a Product Line Engineer located in Houston, Texas. This position will be responsible the automation product line engineering assignments, including product applications enhancements, quality, and testing.

What You Will Do:
New and existing product validation and application testing
New and existing product integration engineering and testing
Manage and resolve product quality issues.
Project engineering and technical support as required
Support concurrent engineering efforts by participating in design development projects representing quality assurance and the customer.
Design and implement methods for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection.
Assist in develoPpment of Standard Work instructions & Operating procedures, project documentation, and 5S checklists.
Promote and execute quality standards, inspection processes, test methodology, quality plans, documents and reports.
Work collectively with supply chain to ensure suppliers meet minimum company quality requirements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronics / Computer Engineering
10 years of work experience in a sustaining, hardware support or product engineering role.
5 years working in an automation or control systems engineer role within a manufacturing or project engineering environment
Experience working with RTUs, PLCs, and Variable Frequency Drives is a must.
Knowledge of Serial & TCP communications networks, and analog and digital instrumentation and control.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Advanced Microsoft Office knowledge with ability to learn new computer software programs
Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to present to senior management
Attention to detail with strong organizational skills

Physical Activities

Picking, pinching, typing, or otherwise working, primarily with fingers rather than the whole hand or arm as in handling.
Applying pressure to an object with the fingers and palm.
Perceiving attributes of objects, such as size, shape, temperature, or texture by touching with skin, particularly that of fingertips.
Expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word. Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to customer or other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
Perceiving the nature of sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication, and to make the discriminations in sound.
Substantial movement (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers to use a computer.
Visual Acuity
The employee is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines (including inspection), using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eyes.
The employee is required to have visual acuity to operate motor vehicles.
The employee is required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations of facilities or structures.
