Engineer I, Manufacturing Engineering

Duration: (0-12)+ Months (Temporary to permanent)
Shift: 8am - 5pm M-F

Responsibilities:
  • Leads sustaining engineering projects to improve Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC). Initiates and implements programs to continuously improve manufacturing processes.
  • Performs safety risk assessments and implements appropriate risk mitigations. Collaboratively develops tools, such as machine guarding, to effectively drive safety metrics.
  • Designs, develops, and qualifies tooling and processes to meet TE safety, quality, and production standards.
  • Documents all processes and tooling in applicable TE systems (SAP, TLM).
  • Acts as interface between engineering and manufacturing / production.
  • Maintains and adheres to all appropriate specifications, regulatory requirements, and customer requirements.
Knowledge, Skills & Innovation
  • BS in manufacturing or mechanical engineering, or related engineering degree, equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
  • Basic knowledge of technical tools specific to the job function: e.g. CAD, CAE, industrial or quality engineering tools.
  • Basic awareness of general engineering tools (LEAN or 6-sigma) such as DoE, FMEA, QFD, etc.
  • Track record of project completions that deliver business results. Experience with safety risk assessments and machine guarding is a plus.
