About the Role

Key Responsibilities:

• Estimate Preparation: Analyze construction drawings, specs, and documents to define project scope.
• Cost Analysis: Develop precise cost estimates covering labor, materials, and equipment.
• Material Takeoffs: Conduct material takeoffs for drywall, fasteners, joint compound, and finishing supplies.
• Project Bidding: Prepare bids, proposals, and budgets, ensuring alignment with company and client standards.
• Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Work closely with suppliers to negotiate material costs and secure best pricing.
• Client Communication: Communicate project details, changes, and cost adjustments effectively with all stakeholders.
• Site Visits: Conduct site visits to verify project requirements, inspect conditions, and ensure compliance with specifications.
• Project Management Support: Collaborate with project managers to develop schedules, budgets, and timelines.
• Cost Tracking: Help monitor active projects to maintain budget adherence and suggest adjustments as needed.

About the Candidate

Qualifications:

• At least 3 years of experience in estimating drywall projects or a related construction field
• Strong knowledge of drywall materials, installation techniques, and industry standards
• Proficient with construction estimating software (e.g., PlanSwift, Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, construction plans, and specifications
• Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects with deadlines
• Eligible to work in New York
• Experience in Estimating Drywall Projects
• Familiar with On Screen Take-off
