This job opportunity is for services to be performed under a contract with the federal government Office of Refugee Resettlement. The Intake and Discharge Supervisor (Bilingual English/Spanish) is responsible for overseeing, managing, and ensuring daily duties assigned to Intake/Discharge Specialists, Case Aides Department which include coordinating the admission and exit of children into and out of Deployed Services care. Essential Functions: Coordinate the intake and discharge functions Continually assess processes and procedures for effectiveness and efficiency Provide on-the-job training to Intake-Discharge Specialists Audit electronic and paper documentation of intake and discharge procedures Conduct audits to ensure Intake-Discharge Specialists secure children's inventory, maintain logs, and track lost/damaged property Supervise the coordination of legal service providers' presentations by Intake-Discharge specialists Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to promptly discharge and reunify children with their vetted sponsors Supervise the coordination of transportation with third-party vendors Ensure children receive the required documentation for discharge Ensure all children receive the 30-day Safety and Wellbeing Call Ensure daily phone calls for children and facilitate incoming/outgoing calls to approved contacts Ensure mandated Safety and Wellbeing Follow Up Calls with unaccompanied children and their sponsors 30 days after release are completed, ensuring timely completion of follow-up reporting, including interviews with both the child and the sponsor Stay well-versed and updated on ORR's policies, procedures, and contractual requirements, providing guidance to team members Establish and maintain consistent communication with Program Directors, Case Management Supervisors and the Assistant Director of Case Management for the department's smooth and efficient operation Monitor, coach, and report staff productivity, ensuring strict adherence to ORR's policies, procedures, and internal workflow standards Provide orientation and training to new team members on internal policies, cultural competence, and child welfare best practices Other duties as assigned Knowledge and Skills : Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion Experience in child welfare or a similar role is highly preferred Knowledge of relevant state and federal regulations and child welfare laws Strong communication and interpersonal skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Minimum 1 year of related experience and/or training including experience working with the Office of Refugee Resettlement preferred Must be able to speak, read, and write in English and Spanish Ability to work flexible hours in a 24/7/365 business environment Education and Experience: The minimum requirement for this position is a High School diploma with a preference for a bachelor's degree in social work, behavioral sciences, human services, or related fields One year Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) experience Experience coaching, developing, and retaining employees and providing a collaborative and positive work environment Experience working with immigrant populations and child welfare, preferred Ability to work with all levels of staff and develop cross-functional relationships Must be authorized to work in the U.S. Must be able to travel within the Continental United States (CONUS) Must pass a motor vehicle record check and employer and government (eQIP or eAPP) background checks after accepting a conditional offer of employment Preferred pre-hire qualifications with monetary incentive: Fully vetted background status (investigation and adjudication) through federal government eQIP or eAPP process, to include: Valid ORR Tier Two adjudication; Childcare adjudication; AND Child Abuse and Neglect (CA/N) check clearance Bonus available for immediate satisfaction of vetting qualification upon hire, subject to verification and payout after 30 continuous days of service Relocation package available if qualified Benefits: DS offers a competitive benefits package for SCA employees, including medical, dental and vision coverage covered in part by federal health and welfare benefit AAP/EEO Statement Deployed Services, LLC is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type on the basis of actual or perceived race, color, national origin, ancestry, sex (including pregnancy, childbirth, breastfeeding and medical conditions related to pregnancy, childbirth or breastfeeding), gender, gender identity, and gender expression, religious creed, disability (mental and physical) including HIV and AIDS, medical condition (cancer and genetic characteristics ), genetic information, age, marital status, civil union status, sexual orientation, military and veteran status, denial of family and medical care leave, arrest record and/or any other characteristic(s) protected by federal, state or local law.This policy applies to all terms of employment including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, training, compensation, benefits, employee activities, and general treatment during employment.
