You'll work on unique themed construction projects at theme parks and our Creative Studio.

Position Description

• Installation of temporary barricades to support on stage construction projects
• Installation of Themed Show Elements and components
• Show Elements could consist of wood, metal, FRP, GFRC, etc.
• Installation of millwork, casework, running trim and other finish carpentry components
• Lays out and installs in-wall blocking as required
• Fabrication of Show Elements as required
• Fabrication of Show Elements to be completed within the Creative Studio at Adena's Lakeland Campus
• Installation activities will typically take place at Theme Parks or Amusement Parks
• Installation activities may require 3rd shift work to meet client needs
• Works with Scenic Team to support scenic finishes as required
• Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
• Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed
• Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters
• Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
• Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals
• Organize and work with the carpentry team to meet goals.
• Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform carpenter duties
• 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
• Ability to read building blueprints
• Ability to utilize pertinent math skills
• Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment along with safe use of the same
• Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites
• May be asked to travel for out-of-town projects
• Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders
• Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
• Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
• Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust•
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Excellent communication skills
