Position Description
- Installation of temporary barricades to support on stage construction projects
- Installation of Themed Show Elements and components
- Show Elements could consist of wood, metal, FRP, GFRC, etc.
- Installation of millwork, casework, running trim and other finish carpentry components
- Lays out and installs in-wall blocking as required
- Fabrication of Show Elements as required
- Fabrication of Show Elements to be completed within the Creative Studio at Adena's Lakeland Campus
- Installation activities will typically take place at Theme Parks or Amusement Parks
- Installation activities may require 3rd shift work to meet client needs
- Works with Scenic Team to support scenic finishes as required
- Adheres to the company's safety policies to create a safe work environment
- Use blueprints, sketches, or building plans to determine construction requirements and materials needed
- Construct wood structures including framing, joists, and rafters
- Install fixtures and materials such as windows, flooring, trim, and hardware
- Interact with customers, suppliers, and other construction professionals
- Organize and work with the carpentry team to meet goals.
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Sufficient education or an equivalent combination of experience, education and training that provides the desired knowledge, skills and characteristics to perform carpenter duties
- 10 Hour OSHA Certification or willingness to obtain within ninety (90) days of employment
- Ability to read building blueprints
- Ability to utilize pertinent math skills
- Good knowledge of methods, materials, tools and equipment along with safe use of the same
- Must maintain a valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Must be willing and able to travel to jobsites
- May be asked to travel for out-of-town projects
- Ability to work at heights without fear including work on scaffolding and ladders
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency
- Must have a good work ethic, and the ability to understand and carry out written or verbal instructions
- Ability to perform on a regular basis in outside weather conditions consisting of wet, hot, humid and/or freezing temperatures, also contending with dirt and dust•
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills
