Electrician Immediate opportunity is available for a talented Electrician who want to become part of the Johnson Controls team. Our Electrician handles electrical installations, repairs, and maintenance of industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will have experience with electrical systems, possess problem-solving skills. Connects power supply wires to machines and equipment and connects cables and wires between machines and equipment. Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables. Tests malfunctioning machinery and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers, such as Maintenance Millwright, Factory Specialist, Tool and Die Maker, and departmental supervision to diagnose malfunction. Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, circuit boards, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices. May diagnoses and repair or replace faulty electronic components, such as printed circuit boards. Replaces electric motor bearings and rewires power to motors. Plans layout of wiring and installs wiring, conduit, and electrical apparatus in buildings. Diagnoses and replaces faulty electrical/mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components of machines and equipment. What We Look For: HS Diploma or GED required. Three to five years related experience. Prefer graduate of accredited electrical apprenticeship program. Knowledgeable and experienced with all aspects of local and national electrical codes and standard practices. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Prefer journeyman or master electrician license. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift and move heavy steel materials (up to 50 lbs or more). Ability to stand, bend, stair climb, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods (8+ hours).
