Job Description:
HPE is looking for an Executive Communications Manager to support our EVP and GM of Servers. With more than 4,500 team members across the globe supporting Compute, HPC and AI, the EVP & GM of HPE Servers and his team are responsible for delivering the world's best AI infrastructure, services and experience to our global customers. In this role, you will develop and execute internal and external communications for our EVP and GM of Servers to increase visibility, expand influence, and enable cultural imperatives for transformation and growth. The ideal candidate is a strategic, collaborative, and articulate communicator with experience in social media and/or supporting senior executives with a commitment to operational excellence.
Position Overview:
Message, implement and measure sustained executive, field, channel or employee communications strategies and plans to advance the company's corporate image, drive employee alignment and engagement, enable selling success or promote executive visibility.
Develop internal and external leadership platforms and content and manage speaker placements and prep. Focus may be global, national, regional, sub-regional or local in scope. Ensure communications align with company's brand identity and messaging framework.
Applies developed subject matter knowledge to solve common and complex business issues and recommends appropriate alternatives. Works on problems of diverse complexity and scope. May act as a team or project leader providing direction to team activities and facilitates information validation and team decision making process. Exercises independent judgment to identify and select a solution. Ability to handle most unique situations. May seek advice in order to make decisions on complex business issues.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, drive and evaluate employee, field or channel communications strategies and programs to drive desired behavior.
- Understand the communications needs of various internal audiences (i.e., field, senior leaders, HR, first-level managers, all employees) crafting messages that are impactful and lead to desired outcomes.
- Provide employee, field or channel consultancy to recommend best-fit solution to meet marketing or business objective.
- Manage and direct assigned agencies or contractors.
- Social Media: Develop and execute the social media strategy for the EVP and GM to promote HPE's business, reputation, and culture. Capitalize on real-time opportunities for news making, brand building, and stakeholder engagement to further develop the executive's personal brand. Develop content, facilitate approvals, monitor activity and continually optimize performance.
- Thought Leadership: Develop distinct thought leadership platforms aligned to EVP and GM's priorities. Support internal and external speaking engagements with executive speeches, scripts, presentations, talking points, and briefing documents.
- Program Management: Strategic management of programs for the EVP and GM and coordination of logistics to ensure success. Keep materials up to date, partner with SMEs and team members to align on requests, and measure ROI upon completion.
- Team Culture: Foster pride, confidence, and engagement among team members with consistent communication. Share news of team celebrations for performance milestones, recognition, cultural moments, and life events with a spirit of fun, creativity, and inclusivity. Manage all team member meetings from concept to execution, optimized for digital and global engagement.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Represent the interests of the EVP and GM in meetings. Align with Chief of Staff on strategic priorities. Partner with cross-functional executive communicators to drive a cohesive narrative across the enterprise.
- Operational Excellence: Enhance the brand of the EVP and GM and the HPE Server team with consistent communication and experiences (standards, templates, processes, etc.). Analyze effectiveness of communication and continually optimize performance.
- BA or BS in Communications, Marketing or Business Administration.
- 5+ years of experience in employee communications, journalism or marketing.
- Previous executive-facing or client-facing agency experience is highly preferred
- Experience leading media relations, internal communications strategies, and creative planning is highly preferred
- Previous experience contributing to or leading 360 Communications is preferred
- Aptitude for collaboration with cross functional teams
- Advanced writing and editing skills - very minimal peer or manager edits needed.
- Strong written, verbal and visual storytelling skills
- Strong listening and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organization and program management skills.
- Ability to link communications plans and activities to business results.
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of employee communications methodologies, tools and vehicles.
- Proven experience managing, leading, driving and measuring virtual teams toward common goal.
- Fluency in local language and English.
- High levels of tact and diplomacy.

USD Annual Salary: $69,100.00 - $158,900.00
