The Position
Reporting to the Plant Manager/Superintendent, the Inside Sales Manager sells wood products to general contractors, trade customers, sales office, store, showroom, place of business, or through online bidding and/or communications. Builds and maintains positive relationships with customers.

Responsibilities
- S/he is passionate about customer service and uses superior product knowledge to provide solutions and quotes to our accounts.
- Develop market strategy to target potential new customers.
- Maintain an elevated level of customer service resulting in significant market penetration for Trade component sales.
- Make personal sales calls to current and target accounts at place of business, job site, or residence.
- Work closely with corporate credit department to ensure that all procedures are properly conducted.
- Assist with product and/or warranty issues including, but not limited to: visually inspecting, operating testing product on site or in the field.
- Work with marketing to develop functional selling tools for wood door products.
- Work with Plant Controller and Plant Manager/Superintendent to implement standardized pricing practices and margin gains.
- Quotes prices, obtains credit applications, completes new customer set up forms, generates sales orders and creates purchase orders.
- Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of owns firm's production and delivery schedules.
- Builds relationships with clients.
- Represent organization in a professional manner.
- Assist in collecting monies due from customers who have exceeded their credit terms.
- Participate in Trade and Home shows as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Experience in estimating or as an account manager
- Above average attention to detail and telephone communication skills
- Working knowledge of MS Office and Windows, strong data entry skills
- Good quoting/tendering and problem solving skills
- Ability to build strong customer relationships
- Prior experience and/or knowledge in the construction and/or timber industry is preferred
