JOOLA is building a close-knit agile team to create and launch our in-house portfolio of consumer and enterprise-based applications. We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating intuitive, user-friendly designs that enhance user experience while maintaining a visually appealing aesthetic. You will be responsible for designing both the user interface (UI) and the user experience (UX) for our products, ensuring seamless interactions and positive user engagement. JOOLA was first established in 1952 and built a global reputation as a pioneer in table tennis. In 2022, JOOLA expanded into the rapidly growing pickleball scene and quickly attracted the biggest names in the sport. As an official table tennis sponsor for three Summer Olympic Games and the official sponsor of pickleball's top athletes and the Professional Pickleball Association (PPA), the team at JOOLA combines its storied expertise with fresh perspectives to bring innovation to both sports. JOOLA creates a variety of equipment, apparel, and accessories for both table tennis and pickleball players, professional and recreational. With offices in US, Germany, Brazil, and China, JOOLA has a global presence and wide distributor network. Responsibilities: Wireframing & Prototyping : create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity designs for web and mobile applications. UI Design : design clean, modern, and visually engaging user interfaces while ensuring consistency across all platforms. UX Design : focus on optimizing user journeys, enhancing usability, and improving accessibility to create a smooth and efficient user experience. Collaboration : work closely with product managers, Tech Lead, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure design solutions meet business goals and technical requirements. User Testing : lead user testing sessions to gather feedback, analyze results, and make design improvements. Design Systems : contribute to developing and maintaining a consistent design system, ensuring a unified visual language across the product. Stay Updated : keep up with the latest design trends, tools, and best practices to ensure your work is innovative and current. User Research : conduct user research, interviews, surveys, and usability testing to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Iterate and Improve : continuously improve designs based on user feedback, analytics, and team input to drive product success Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in design, Interaction Design, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Proven experience (4 years) in UI/UX design, with a strong portfolio demonstrating design skills and problem-solving abilities. Proficiency in design tools like Adobe XD, Figma, or other UI/UX design software. Familiarity with front-end development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus but not required. Solid understanding of design principles, color theory, typography, and usability best practices. Experience with creating user personas, journey maps, and user flows. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present and justify design decisions. Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. A passion for creating exceptional digital experiences that prioritize the user. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working in cross-functional teams. Knowledge of accessibility standards and best practices. Experience in mobile-first and responsive design.
