JOB DESCRIPTION JOB TITLE: Distribution Manager DEPARTMENT: Commercial Connector Sales REPORTS TO: Director, Commercial Sales SUPERVISES: None POSITION TYPE: Exempt GENERAL POSITION SUMMARY This person will be responsible for all aspects of sales by JAE franchised distributors of JAE products. This will include the management and over sight of all JAE Franchised distributors. The primary duties will be to increase sales of JAE products by each Distributor and also increase JAE share of business at each distributor. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 1.) Create and implement plans to increase booking and grow sales objectives 2.) Create and implement quarterly sales promotion for all franchised distributors. Monitor and report results semi-annually 3.) Coordinate and manage all distributor sales activity both internal and external to JAE (RSMs and Customer service) 4.) Provide support and assistance with all distribution sales related matters within JAE to include but not be limited to delivery, quality control, selection of JAE products, distribution price book control, ship & debit quotes along with policy and procedures 5.) Review all franchised distributor activity on a continuous basis and recommend and implement corrective actions semi-annually 6.) Provide consistent and competent training on JAE products and company direction to distribution product managers quarterly 7.) Actively promote JAE sales at franchised distributor’s corporate offices and coordinate QBRs at the branch level, coordinating with RSMs 8.) Provide updated monthly and annual activity reports, forecasts, and budgets for each distributor, make improvement recommendations 9.) Manage sample center and send sample customers list report to RSM monthly 10.) Review, monitor and analyze monthly POS reports from each distributor 11.) Represent JAE at trade shows, associations or meetings when necessary 12.) Implement and manage a distribution project registration program in the CRM system 13.) Maintain and update Distributors with sales material on all new and existing JAE products 14.) Manage and recommend distributor pricing (SPA), changes and adjustments 15.) Build, manage and maintain the relationship between JAE and our distributor’s Executive management 16.) Document significant meetings, activities, projects and promotions in CRM DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES & PERCENT Primary: Sales Management of Distributors 40 Budgeting/Forecasting/Planning/Quoting 30 Maintain Distribution Price Book 15 Promotion of JAE at Distributors 10 CRM System Management 5 CORE COMPETANCIES Knowledge of component distribution sales and market Strong attention to detail Ability to manage budgets, sales objectives and promotions Excellent presentation and communication skills Computer skills (Microsoft) Organization and planning skills Salesforce knowledge is required QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS Education : Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Business/Communications Experience: Minimum of 3-7 years of experience in connector or component industry or a related field. Extensive knowledge of component distribution. Computer skills in Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc. BUSINESS TRAVEL: This position requires traveling regionally 25% of the time. PHYSICAL DEMAND: This position requires lifting up to 25 pounds frequently.
