Role Description This is a full-time in-office and remote position as a Commercial Loan Processor at Equitas Capital Group in Brooklyn, NY. We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Commercial Mortgage Processor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for processing commercial mortgage applications, ensuring all necessary documentation is complete and compliant with regulatory standards, and assisting in the preparation of loan files for underwriting and closing. This role requires strong communication skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and in-depth knowledge of commercial real estate financing. Qualifications Loan Documentation and File Preparation Collect, review, and organize required documentation such as financial statements, tax returns, credit reports, and property appraisals. Verify the accuracy and completeness of submitted materials to ensure compliance with lender requirements and regulations. Prepare loan files for underwriting by assembling all necessary documents. Coordination with Stakeholders Serve as the main point of contact between borrowers, loan officers, underwriters, title companies, and other stakeholders. Communicate any missing or additional documentation requirements to borrowers or brokers. Ensure all parties are updated on the loan process status and timelines. Compliance and Regulation Adherence Maintain accurate records of compliance checks and resolve discrepancies as needed. Credit Analysis Support Review borrower and guarantor financial information for accuracy and red flags. Assist underwriters with preliminary analysis of financials and creditworthiness. Property and Market Analysis Gather necessary property-related documents such as purchase agreements, appraisals, environmental reports, and insurance policies. Coordinate with third-party service providers for property inspections, surveys, or appraisals. Administrative and Reporting Duties Maintain detailed records of loan applications and processing activities. Prepare status reports for management and loan officers. Monitor loan pipelines and ensure deadlines are met. Problem Solving Identify and resolve issues or bottlenecks in the loan processing workflow. Address borrower concerns and find solutions to meet lender criteria. Closing Support Collaborate with closing teams to ensure a smooth transition from loan approval to closing. Verify all closing conditions are met and coordinate disbursement of funds.
