Pegasus Tech Ventures is currently seeking a highly motivated & results driven Marketing Manager, passionate about venture capital / technology startups to join its HQ in San Jose, California. We are a global VC firm headquartered in Silicon Valley. We manage 35 funds, primarily for large global corporations, and invest into startups, then facilitate business development between the corporations & startups. In addition, we are the organizer of the Startup World Cup, one of the leading global pitch competitions spanning 100 cities and awarding a $1,000,000 investment prize. Position Overview As a Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that enhance Pegasus Tech Ventures’ brand visibility, strengthen our position in the global startup and VC community, and support our portfolio companies and corporate partners. This includes leveraging your strong writing skills and experience with top-tier media outlets to secure impactful press coverage, as well as distributing press releases that capture our firm’s milestones and portfolio success. You will draw on your established relationships with renowned publications to amplify our messaging and thought leadership. In addition, you will craft compelling multi-platform content, manage robust digital marketing campaigns across social media (X, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), arrange both webinars and in-person events, and guide our communications strategy with precision and creativity. You will work closely with our investment team, portfolio founders, and corporate partners, using industry insights and your editorial acumen to create impactful marketing initiatives that resonate with our target audience. Key Responsibilities Brand Management & Messaging: Elevate the Pegasus Tech Ventures brand by maintaining consistent messaging, visual identity, and tone across all marketing channels. Develop creative content (presentations, thought leadership articles, newsletters, video scripts) that showcase our portfolio success stories, corporate partnerships, and industry insights. Draft and distribute press releases that highlight key investments, portfolio milestones, and thought leadership achievements, ensuring maximum media pickup. Media Relations & Publications: Leverage existing relationships with premier media outlets to secure features, interviews, and contributed articles. Manage an ongoing editorial calendar and publications pipeline, ensuring timely and strategic placement of press announcements and thought leadership content. Build and maintain strong relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers in the venture capital and technology sectors. Digital Marketing & Content Strategy: Lead and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns across social media (X, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.), email, and web, ensuring brand consistency and audience engagement. Oversee SEO/SEM strategies to increase brand discoverability and engagement. Manage corporate website updates, blog posts, and case studies to ensure timely, relevant, and audience-centric content. Expand the company’s reach and influence through video marketing, podcasts, and multimedia storytelling. Events & Community Engagement: Coordinate marketing efforts for industry conferences, demo days, and partner events, ensuring strong brand representation and memorable attendee experiences. Organize and host webinars, roundtables, and networking sessions that bring together founders, investors, and corporate innovators, leveraging your event organizational skills. Seek speaking opportunities, awards, and sponsorships that elevate Pegasus Tech Ventures’ visibility and credibility. Partnerships & Stakeholder Relations: Collaborate with portfolio companies to highlight their progress and success stories, distributing content across our channels and media outlets. Support corporate partners with tailored marketing initiatives that showcase joint innovation projects and strategic collaborations. Develop influencer and partnership programs to extend brand reach within the global tech ecosystem. Analytics & Optimization: Track and analyze marketing KPIs, reporting on campaign performance and ROI. Use data-driven insights to refine strategies, improve audience targeting, and maximize marketing impact. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus. 5 years of marketing experience, ideally within venture capital, startups, or tech ecosystems. Proven track record in developing and executing successful marketing strategies, particularly across digital channels and social media platforms (X, YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). Demonstrated expertise in press release distribution and securing media coverage, with a strong publication track record. Established relationships with top-tier media outlets. Exceptional writing, storytelling, and content creation skills, capable of translating complex technology concepts into compelling narratives. Experience managing events, partnerships, and influencer relationships, with a focus on both digital (webinars) and physical event execution. Proficiency in marketing tools (e.g., HubSpot, Google Analytics, social media management platforms) and familiarity with SEO/SEM best practices.
