As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a dynamic Brand Manager to help drive our brand’s visibility and growth in the California and Nevada markets. We are open to hiring someone living in either California or Nevada. About the Job: As the Brand Manager for California and Nevada, you’ll take ownership of our marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition across both B2B and DTC (Direct to Consumer) segments. Your role will involve developing and executing creative marketing plans, managing retail merchandising, leading events, and building strong relationships with key stakeholders, all while maintaining compliance with state and federal regulations. This is a key position to ensure that THC Design continues to lead in the highly competitive cannabis industry. Key Responsibilities: Brand Management: Maintain a consistent brand voice across all marketing channels including digital, print, and in-store. Ensure all materials align with the brand’s identity and messaging. Merchandising & Retail Execution: Identify and implement new merchandising opportunities for retail displays. Oversee the creation and execution of in-store displays to ensure brand consistency and visibility. Retail inventory management. Cultivate strong relationships with dispensary owners, managers, budtenders, and other key retail stakeholders. Event Planning & Consumer Engagement: Support creative marketing plans to drive brand awareness and customer acquisition. Lead and execute industry/community events, including product samplings, sponsorships, and partnerships with local tastemakers. Identify new event sponsorships and community activations to elevate THC Design’s presence. Market Research & Strategy Development: Conduct regular market analysis to identify customer trends, competitor strategies, and market opportunities. Use insights to adjust marketing strategies and capitalize on new growth opportunities. Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work cross-functionally with sales, product development, and external partners to execute integrated marketing campaigns. Build strong relationships with dispensary teams, key decision-makers, and local brands to expand awareness and influence. Brand Presence & Leadership: Ensure THC Design is well-positioned at key retail accounts, maintaining leadership status. Coordinate POS material creation and distribution to support sales goals. Compliance & Regulatory Awareness: Stay up to date on cannabis regulations, ensuring that marketing materials comply with legal standards. Navigate advertising restrictions to ensure compliance in digital and physical advertising channels. Performance Tracking & Reporting: Track KPIs to measure the success of marketing campaigns, sales performance, and brand awareness. Provide regular reports to management on performance and make strategic adjustments as needed. Trend forecasting. Brand Strategy Development: Develop and refine THC Design’s brand positioning and messaging. Conduct ongoing market research to ensure the brand stays ahead of trends and resonates with the target audience. Required Administration: Collaborate with management to align marketing strategies with business objectives. Manage inventory of POS materials, ensuring timely replenishment. Provide feedback on market trends, customer behavior, and potential improvements. Meet with the Sales Team to review marketing collateral and strategies. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards across all marketing channels. Requirements: 5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or merchandising, ideally within the cannabis or consumer goods industry. Strong understanding of both B2B and DTC marketing strategies. Proven experience in retail merchandising, event execution, and community engagement. Ability to think strategically and creatively while driving results. Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills. Willingness to travel up to 75% within California and Nevada. Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle required. Strong knowledge of cannabis culture, regulations, and compliance. Why THC Design?
