The Role: Your Impact at RedZone As a Network Engineer II/III, you’ll play a critical role in providing advanced technical support, implementing scalable IT systems, and ensuring seamless network operations for our clients. You’ll tackle complex network challenges, serve as a trusted technical advisor, and drive IT project success. Your work will directly impact client efficiency by optimizing IT infrastructure and delivering lasting solutions. This role is ideal for a passionate networking professional eager to collaborate with a high-performing team while taking on technical challenges that empower businesses through reliable and secure technology. What You’ll Do: Network Implementation & Troubleshooting: Perform advanced troubleshooting, installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware (routers, firewalls, switches) and software. Resolve complex network issues onsite and remotely for clients across Maryland, DC, and Virginia. Client-Facing Expertise: Serve as the primary technical advisor to clients, offering tailored solutions to optimize network performance and security. Deliver exceptional customer service through clear communication and responsive support. Collaboration & Knowledge Sharing: Partner with internal teams, vendors, and clients to develop and implement IT solutions. Share technical knowledge and mentor junior team members to strengthen the team’s expertise. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of client environments, network configurations, and system changes. Ensure systems and networks are properly monitored and tracked for continuous improvement. Routine Audits & Monitoring: Conduct regular system audits, performance checks, and compliance reporting. Ensure networks run efficiently, securely, and with minimal downtime. Position Requirements: Education & Certification: College diploma or university degree in a related field and 2+ years equivalent work experience OR 3+ years of hands-on network engineering experience. Relevant certifications (Cisco, Microsoft, VMware, etc.) are highly desirable. Technical Expertise: Experience in Managed Service Provider (MSP) or consulting environments preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft networking (Active Directory, Group Policy, Exchange/Exchange Online, Windows Server OS). Strong knowledge of networking protocols, routers, switches, firewalls, and servers. Familiarity with network equipment from vendors such as HPE, Dell, Lenovo. Experience with Microsoft 365/Azure, VMware, and remote monitoring tools (e.g., Kaseya). Key Competencies: Problem Solving:
Analytical mindset for diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues. Communication:
Ability to explain technical concepts in clear, user-friendly language. Customer Service:

Capable of managing tasks independently in a fast-paced environment. Additional Requirements: Physical & Travel Requirements: Valid U.S. driver’s license (in good standing). Willingness to travel to client sites across Maryland, DC, and Virginia (own transportation required). U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident. Work Conditions: Availability for after-hours cutovers and system implementations. Ability to handle hardware, tools, and peripherals.
