Position Summary: We are looking for a Project Engineer to support our Bridge team in Texas, a crucial role geared towards the design and management of transportation infrastructure projects, mainly for TxDOT. This individual will be integral in steering our team towards the delivery of exceptional schematic designs, PS&E, structural plans, and precise cost estimations. Responsibilities
Collaborate with a team to manage and execute bridge design tasks for diverse transportation projects, focusing predominantly on TxDOT projects. Carry out the preparation of comprehensive structural designs, specifications, and cost estimations for a variety of structures, including bridges, retaining walls, and other related infrastructure. Perform load rating analysis, rehabilitation concepts and structure type analysis evaluations. Mentor EITs to use current engineering design software to complete designs. Coordinate with other design teams and disciplines. Offer technical guidance to Professional Engineer/EIT and CAD Designer/Drafters on project. Develop design procedures to facilitate high-quality cost-effective work by others. Participate in interdisciplinary review of project deliverables. Develop construction cost estimates and estimates of technical efforts for projects. Execute quality assurance checks on design calculations and drawings. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Engineering and 6+ years of relevant experience OR Master's degree in Engineering and 5+ years of relevant experience. Texas PE license is required. Knowledge of industry standard computer software such as PGSuper, WinCore, LEAP Bridge Concrete, MicroStation, spColumn, LPile, MDX, CSiBridge, STAAD PRO, AASHTOWare etc. A track record of successfully leading bridge design projects.
