The Configuration Management Advisor is responsible for establishing and maintaining the configuration management engineering process and baselines to include configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and audits to ensure the performance, quality, and functionality of our client's infrastructure systems. Analyzes changes of product design to determine the effect on the product design and function and prepares documentation necessary for change. Designs and establishes management documentation. Authorizes the release of drawings, and software configuration changes specified by management and other functional groups. Develops and maintains software configuration management tools to support configuration identification, control, reporting, and delivery of both internally developed and externally purchased commercial-off-the-shelf (COTS) software products. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Designs, develops, automates, and maintains productivity tools using programming, database, or scripting languages to improve software modeling and development. Designs and implements build procedures that are used to support software product development and use. May develop software configuration standards for company-wide use. May train software developers in the use of configuration management tools and the implementation of software quality standards. **This position is contingent on contract award.** Qualifications
Required: Active TS/SCI Clearance with the ability to pass the CI Poly prior to onboarding 12 years configuration management, engineering or equivalent work experience with BS/BA; 10 years with MS/MA; 7 years with PhD 4 additional years of experience may be used in lieu of degree Preferred: Active TS/SCI with CI Poly clearance Demonstrated experience in identification, baselining, maintaining, and controlling changes to IT enterprise assets desired ITILv4 Foundation Certification or equivalent desired SECURITY CLEARANCE: This Position requires an Active TS/SCI and the ability to obtain a CI Poly, US Citizenship is required to hold this clearance. $146,000 - $234,000. This represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors.
