We are seeking a Senior RPA Developer who is responsible for automating manual processes using RPA tools like UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate Desktop to enhance operational efficiency. This role involves analyzing business workflows and designing bots to optimize processes, while also implementing ETL processes to ensure accurate data transformation. The developer manages RPA environments, troubleshoots technical issues, and conducts licensing and infrastructure assessments based on usage. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is key to integrating bots with existing systems, while also developing APIs and user-friendly interfaces for bot management. Additionally, the RPA Developer leads educational sessions to keep staff updated on the latest RPA advancements.
Key Responsibilities
Robotic Process Automation (RPA)
Utilize RPA tools such as UiPath and Microsoft Power Automate Desktop to automate manual processes, improving operational efficiency. Analyze business processes and design bot solutions that optimize workflows, ensuring detailed documentation on bot functionality. Develop and implement ETL processes using tools like Microsoft SSIS and Hitachi Pentaho, ensuring data accuracy and integrity during transformation. Administer RPA environments, manage bot usage, and determine licensing and infrastructure needs based on usage analysis. Troubleshoot and debug complex technical issues, ensuring the reliability and performance of RPA solutions. Lead meetings to educate staff on RPA advancements, providing live demonstrations and structured agendas for ongoing learning.
Back-End Development
Design and implement scalable ETL processes to automate data extraction, transformation, and loading from multiple systems using Microsoft SSIS or Pentaho. Write and optimize complex T-SQL queries and stored procedures, incorporating advanced techniques like indexing and managing data relationships. Create attended and unattended bots, including API-triggered bots, to streamline business processes. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate bots and automation solutions into existing applications and workflows, ensuring seamless operation.
Front-End and Full-Stack Development
Develop responsive, user-friendly interfaces for bot management and monitoring, ensuring ease of use for non-technical users. Design and implement APIs and web services to trigger bots and facilitate communication between bots and external systems. Integrate RPA solutions with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI or Tableau) to provide real-time reporting and insights into automation performance. Work closely with UI/UX designers to enhance the user experience for bot-triggered applications, ensuring intuitive and accessible interfaces.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible experience in IT or software development. At least 3 years of experience in RPA development using UiPath or Microsoft Power Automate. Proficiency in SQL, including writing complex queries and stored procedures, as well as API integration and utilization. Experience in designing, modeling, and organizing database schemas to support automation processes. Strong analytical skills to evaluate business processes and design efficient automation solutions. Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with stakeholders, both internal and external. Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies and understanding of Agile principles and practices. Proficiency in using troubleshooting and debugging tools to resolve technical issues.
Compensation and Benefits
The projected compensation range for this position is $107,650 to $151,000 per year benchmarked in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. The target salary is $139,000. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Salary at LCG is determined by various factors, including but not limited to role, location, the combination of education/training, knowledge, skills, competencies, certifications, and work experience.
