Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO)

Responsible for the design, installation, maintenance, and administration of classified/sensitive AIS systems and network equipment to support program operations. Plan, develop, implement, and maintain programs, policies, and procedures to protect the integrity and confidentiality of stand-alone systems, networks, and data. Develop, maintain and submit system/network accreditation documentation (e.g., IA SOP, SSP, MSSP). Provide system security management to ensure systems/networks are operated and maintained in accordance with (IAW) regulatory guidelines and in-house implemented policies and procedures. Implement patches and upgrades to stand-alone in-house systems/networks. Administer AIS security training, ensuring users are provided initial and refresher awareness briefings for their role and level of responsibility. Ensure Automated Information System (AIS) activities comply with established security procedures. Support and/or lead internal/external agency and customer compliance audits. Respond to and report AIS incidents as per established policies and plans. Basic Qualifications: Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be able to pass a polygraph. Minimum of 5 years of IC and DoD security experience. Experience in information systems security/information assurance implementing NISPOM, DAAPM, DCID 6/3, ICD 503, and/or JSIG IS requirements. Experience with various information system security tools (e.g., SCAP Compliance Checker, STIG Viewer, ACAS, Nessus, eMASS). DoD 8570.1M compliant Professional Certification IAT II / IAM I required (e.g., Security+), IAM II or III a plus (CISSP, GSEC, etc.). Independent self-starter, proactive and professional. Effective oral and written communication skills, excellent interpersonal skills, and computer literacy. Proficiency with MS Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook). Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal/written skills and presentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Prior experience with Special Access Programs (SAP) processes and policies preferred. Prior experience with US network domains (e.g., SIPR, JWICS) also preferred. Required to obtain/maintain various accesses and US security clearances. Experience with SharePoint. Network Infrastructure and Security Configuration.
