Description The Aspen Opera Theater and VocalARTS (AOTVA) Titles Manager provides administrative support for the AOTVA program at the Aspen Music Festival and School (AMFS). The AOTVA program is under the co-artistic direction of Renée Fleming and Patrick Summers. The upcoming season will utilize the AMFS orchestras, the 2050-seat Klein Music Tent, and the historic Wheeler Opera House throughout an encompassing 8-week summer season. This season’s mainstage productions will be Mozart’s Così fan tutte and Puccini’s La bohème. The Titles Manager is the primary manager of all title systems at the Wheeler Opera House and Klein Music Tent and utilizes the Aspen Music Festival & School’s computer-based presentation program and full-sized LED display system for supertitles. This position reports to the AOTVA Company Manager. Responsibilities Prepare scripts, scores, and presentation system for titled productions including weekly public AOTVA performances and two mainstage opera productions. Attend rehearsals and run titles for all applicable performances. Serve as the main AOTVA contact for any special events that involve AOTVA students. Regularly attend, provide support for, and report on AOTVA classes, rehearsals, readings, and performances. Coordinate with the Production Manager and Stage Manager to support rehearsals and performances throughout the season. Other duties as assigned. Requirements Must be comfortable and proficient at reading opera scores (piano/vocal), detail-oriented, organized and calm under pressure. Basic knowledge of French, German, and Italian is extremely helpful but not required. Strong and proven knowledge of MS Excel, general word processing and computer skills required; training on presentation software is provided. Technical knowledge of LED equipment not required but will receive preference. Proven ability to assist artistic and technical staff while creating and maintaining a supportive and collaborative work environment. Flexibility, creativity, interpersonal skills, and attention to detail are essential. Experience with opera administration or stage management preferred. Dates June 5, 2025-August 27, 2025 Compensation $17/hour plus housing provided by AMFS (valued at a minimum of $4.91/hour depending on location.) Overtime $25.50/hour Benefits include AMFS season pass and paid sick time.
