Sr. Staff Systems Engineer

with demonstrated ability to lead development of new technologies to support our innovative MDA team. What You’ll Get to Do: Plan and support the core functions and ensure the project team has qualified staff to execute the program core functions. Support close out program reviews (e.g., SRR, SFR, SDR, PDR, CDR, SVR, TRR, peer reviews, Pre-test reviews, Post Test Reviews, Pre-Ship reviews). Ensure system technical compliance with the program Statement of Work (SOW) and system requirements. Manage the vertical and horizontal technical integration throughout the product teams and program life cycle. Collect, manage, and report the program metrics and Technical Performance Measures (TPMs). Manage risk and opportunity and the production of core engineering work products and track the work products and associated program dependencies in the program schedule. Coordinate between the System Architect, Chief Engineer, Product Team Lead(s), program manager, and customer to ensure the integrity and executability of the program technical baseline. Align measurement objectives and activities to meet program performance goals and objectives. This position is contingent upon clearance. This position will serve on-site in Linthicum/Annapolis Junction, MD. Basic Qualifications for Sr. Staff Systems Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline with 14 years of experience, a Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 12 years of experience, or a PhD in a STEM discipline with 9 years of experience. Demonstrated experience with Systems Development Lifecycle - Focus on trade studies, white papers, analysis of alternatives (AoA), Risk Reduction activities (RR). Demonstrated Backlog Planning and Management. Risk and Opportunity Management experience. This position requires the applicant to be a U.S. citizen with Active DoD TS/SCI with poly security clearance. Preferred Qualifications of Sr. Staff Systems Engineer: Demonstrated Model Based Systems Engineering (SysML). Demonstrated experience working with CAMEO or other MBSE management tools. Knowledge of Systems Engineering processing from generation of an Integrated Master Plan (IMP) to Work Product Breakdown into Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for the development of complex systems of systems. Master’s degree or PhD in STEM or technical management. Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements (UAF). Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross-functionally. Experience managing contracts of $10M. Salary Range:

$174,800 - $274,700 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
