Job Description We are currently seeking a QA Test Engineer to work in Colorado Springs, CO. The candidate will work on DDN's flagship family of SFA products which are customized to deliver extremely high-speed performance using cutting edge technology.

The QA Engineer develops, maintains, and executes automated test cases, testing/QA infrastructures for all phases of testing storage subsystems. Evaluates, recommends automated test tools/scripts and strategies to expedite testing cycles and improve overall testing quality. Architect, design and implement test harness software, hardware and system solutions used for all phases of development and testing.

Responsibilities for this role include but are not limited to:

Architect, design and develop solutions to expedite test.

Design test cases on new product features.

Design test strategies, test plans, and test cases, leveraging test automation.

Work with other test and development engineers to develop overall automation test architecture that is flexible and reusable across storage platforms.

Reviews acceptance criteria, reviews test cases and test automation code, sets up environments, and communicates regularly to project team on defects, issues, and QA status.

Coordinate testing effort with other project teams across the globe.

Work closely with the Test Architect, other Test Engineers and Developers/Designers to understand and provide solutions for any challenges that could impact the delivery of test automation.

Support development & QA teams with system setup, administration, configuration and troubleshoot any equipment issues.

Manual test execution required until backlog of manual tests can be automated.

Qualifications for this role are:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field (engineering, quality or related) is required.

5+ years of software test and QA experience specially in the Storage domain.

Experience with all phases of the development life cycle.

Experience with QA methodology, functional and structural testing techniques (Agile a plus).

Experience with some BASH and experience with Python.

Experience using source code control systems (git).

Experience using SQA bug tracking systems (Jira).

Ability to read and understand coding languages and logic.

Good problem solving, organizational, interpersonal and team skills.

Ability to work seamlessly as part of a multi-site, multicultural engineering team.

Self-motivated, passionate, and driven to achieve committed milestones.

Strong team player with excellent written and verbal skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced development environment with a broad scope of evolving responsibilities.

Salary ranges are determined based on role, level, and location. The annual base salary range is $83,349.00 - $154,790.00.
