Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems sector is seeking a well-qualified

Linux/Windows Systems Administrator

to join its Classified Solutions team in

Linthicum, MD .

Please note that this position requires on-site, full-time work.

Responsibilities:

Perform as a Linux/Redhat Systems Administrator for a classified government contract.

Perform as a Windows Systems Administrator for a classified government contract.

Maintain smooth operation of all computer infrastructure in a multi-user environment.

Analyze customer requirements and determine equipment and software needs.

Recommend and implement system enhancements for performance and reliability.

Provide backup and recovery services, manage data storage, and implement virus protection.

Create and maintain user accounts and modify file permissions.

Test new product releases for compatibility.

Develop and document technical processes as needed.

Make recommendations to purchase hardware and software.

Interact with vendors and evaluate their products and services.

Adhere to strict Information Systems security guidelines.

Deploy new STIGs and work with IT/IA to develop POA&Ms for vulnerabilities.

Understand vulnerability and risk mitigation in accordance with standards.

Maintain security audit and logging information as directed.

Prepare security documentation for input to Computer Security.

Report project status as required.

Work under minimal direction and independently determine solutions.

Basic Qualifications:

Master's Degree with 3 years of IT experience; OR a Bachelor's Degree with 5 years of IT experience; OR an Associate's Degree with 7 years of IT experience; OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of IT experience is required.

Must have a

DOD 8570 IAT Level II

or higher certification (e.g., Security+ CE).

Experience managing Redhat Enterprise Linux OS in a classified environment.

Experience managing Windows Server OS and domain architecture in a classified environment.

Familiarity with DoD STIGs and working with IT and Information Assurance Analysts.

Current DOD

Secret

level security clearance or enrollment in the DOD Continuous Evaluation Program.

Ability to obtain and maintain access to

Special Programs

within 9 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Technology, Security+ CE, Linux+ or RHCSA certification, MCSE or similar certification, and 5+ years of server administration experience in a JSIG classified environment.

Experience with NISPOM, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG information system environments.

Experience installing, configuring, and maintaining computer hardware in a networked environment.

Understanding of networking, including subnets and routing.

Experience with Windows AD, LDAP, VMWare, and SAN storage systems.

Experience with Security Engineering tools on Windows & Linux Operating systems.

Knowledge of environmental monitoring tools.

VMWare experience with current version.

Rudimentary scripting experience.

Experience with system image creation and deployment in an enterprise environment.

Experience with the Certification & Accreditation process.

DoD 8570 Certification in a primary OS (Windows, Linux, Cisco).

Active DoD Top Secret security clearance would be ideal.

Salary Range:

$93,000 - $139,600 Employees may be eligible for bonuses and other benefits. The application period is estimated to be 20 days from the job posting date.
