Our FPN connects more than 700 Florida foundation leaders and grantmaking professionals, funder-focused programming, resources and research from the field. Together, FPN members can build a successful model for cooperation and collaboration among all sectors -- business, government and nonprofit -- to promote, develop and advance philanthropy and improve the quality of life for all Floridians. Position Overview This is a full-time exempt position that reports to the President & CEO and is based in the Tampa office. Essential Accountabilities The FPN Director of Programs & Member Engagement shall have primary oversight for FPN’s learning agenda, designing programmatic opportunities that align with FPN’s strategic plan and that engage our members. You will be responsible for developing a program and learning calendar annually based on best practices of adult learning that incorporates a balance of educational and professional development programming for core programs, member issue briefings, member constituencies/networks, convenings, public programs, co-sponsored programs with colleague organizations, and the annual FPN Summit. You will develop and implement a long-term educational strategy to further FPN’s vision and mission. Member Engagement, Building Field Knowledge via Program & Learning Resources The FPN Director of Programs & Member Engagement shall identify, monitor and incorporate key national, regional and local trends and issues relevant to FPN, its membership, and philanthropy in general. You will develop, manage, and maintain a variety of non-programmatic print and electronic resources and services accessible to members and staff. Planning and Budgeting The FPN Director of Programs & Member Engagement shall develop an annual work plan for all assigned services and responsibilities. You will prepare, monitor and manage budgets of education and professional development programs, conferences and special projects, and other activities, as assigned. You will assess FPN’s member program and learning plan on an ongoing basis to ensure relevance and alignment with FPN’s strategic plan and budget. Member Relations and Management The FPN Director of Programs & Member Engagement shall serve as a partner to the President and the entire staff team in designing and implementing efforts to strategically and systematically engage current members. You will lead efforts to strengthen member relationships and identify emerging industry trends. Leadership and Development The FPN Director of Programs & Member Engagement shall be a leader in enhancing the image and positive impact of FPN as a leader in Florida philanthropy. You will provide leadership and direction to the development and implementation of special projects as assigned. Member Programs & Learning: Evaluation and Assessment The FPN Director of Programs & Member Engagement shall design and implement rigorous program evaluation and member feedback procedures. You will evaluate whether FPN programs incorporate national, regional and local trends. Selection Criteria to Qualify for this Position: Bachelor's degree or equivalent; Master’s degree preferred. Minimum of five years’ experience in philanthropy, the nonprofit sector, a membership association, or related field. Demonstrated skills and experience in adult education, professional development and training. Typical Working Environment of this Position: Work is typically performed in an inside, sheltered environment. Some off-site work is required when hosting programs outside the FPN office. Some travel is required, approximately 20%. Salary and Benefits The position will be located in FPN’s main office in Tampa, Florida, with a salary commensurate with experience.
