Human Resources (HR) Director
who will oversee and manage the HR function for a specific business unit, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and strategies. This role provides leadership and supervision to the HR team supporting the business unit and is responsible for employee engagement, employee relations, performance management, compliance, and HR program implementation. The HR Director will report to the Senior HR Director and collaborate with other HR and business leaders to deliver effective solutions. Responsibilities: Nurtures a positive working environment while managing HR initiatives to enhance the organizational culture. Manages and directs the daily workflow of the HR Management teams. Interviews, hires, and trains new employees in the department. Coaches, mentors, and provides constructive and timely performance feedback. Counsels and terminates employees in accordance with company policies. Collaborates with senior leadership to develop and administer department objectives, goals, and strategy related to retention and engagement. Manages employee relations, addressing any concerns or conflicts in a timely manner. Tracks and analyzes HR metrics and trends to recommend improvements and implement best practices. Coordinates and implements policies, processes, training, initiatives, and surveys to support organization compliance and strategy. Identifies professional development, training, and certification activities for HR Management teams. Manages special projects to support department objectives and goals. Monitors and ensures the organization’s compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations and recommended best practices. Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law. Performs other duties as required. Requirements: Proven experience as an HR Director or similar role. Comfort with the uncertain; motivated to move forward, make decisions, and finalize details quickly once information is available. Ability to manage multiple priorities, prioritize tasks, and delegate them when appropriate. Ability to work well under pressure and adapt to the needs of the organization and employees. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to multitask and meet deadlines. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficient with ADP or similar HRIS. Desired Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred. At least 10 years of progressive human resource management experience required, with a minimum of 5 years in a managerial role. SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP highly preferred.
