Job Brief We are seeking an experienced Exhibition Development Consultant to join our team on a part-time remote contract basis. This role is pivotal in shaping and delivering engaging exhibitions that resonate with diverse audiences while also meeting strategic objectives. The ideal candidate will bring a wealth of knowledge in exhibition design and development, along with exceptional project management skills, to create impactful experiences that elevate the client’s mission and vision.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to conceptualize and develop innovative exhibition themes and narratives that align with organizational goals.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to inform exhibition content, ensuring accuracy and relevance to the target audience.
Oversee the entire exhibition development process, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation, to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.
Engage with artists, curators, and external partners to facilitate the acquisition of artifacts, multimedia elements, and technology needed for the exhibition.
Design and implement evaluation strategies to assess the success and impact of exhibitions post-launch, utilizing feedback to inform future projects.
Prepare and present reports and proposals to stakeholders, articulating vision and strategy for upcoming exhibitions.
Qualifications
Proven experience in exhibition development, curation, or related fields, with a strong portfolio of past projects.
Exceptional project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Museum Studies, Arts Administration, or a related field.
Experience working with various exhibition formats, including digital and immersive experiences.
Knowledge of current trends in exhibition design and audience engagement strategies.
