Actual compensation may vary based on geographic location, work experience, skill level, and education. Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Conducts forensic analyses of digital and other multimedia evidence using appropriate scientific methodologies, forensic techniques, and quality assurance practices in support of criminal and administrative investigations. Responsible for conducting forensic examinations of digital and other multimedia evidence through the use of scientific practices, methods, and techniques. Examines and analyzes digital evidence for criminal, civil, regulatory, or internal purposes. Analyzes and examines evidence and interprets scientific observations and data to render conclusions or findings, develops expert opinions using a range of techniques, tools, and methods. Produces comprehensive reports and illustrative exhibits or findings for federal and state judicial proceedings and for internal administrative investigations. Must have the ability to sufficiently explain evidence interpretations, findings, and conclusions to a lay audience. Serves as a subject matter expert and advisor in matters related to the proper collection, preservation, and handling of digital evidence. Must understand and adhere to chain of custody practices and methods for all investigations. Performs continual and ongoing evaluation, testing, and validation of internal methods, procedures, protocols, and forensics systems and toolsets. Identifies and recommends purchase of new toolsets and equipment. Conducts research for improving forensic analyses, scientific methods, and digital investigation issues or roadblocks. Education and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology, Cyber Security or relevant. In lieu of listed degree, eight (8+) years of experience may be considered. Advanced knowledge and experience facilitating and performing investigations of digital media required. Five plus (5+) years performing digital investigations or electronic discovery required. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong analytical, statistical, systematic, and experience of cyber security technology, digital forensics, and electronic discovery required. A deep understanding of and proven track record over several years in Cyber Security required. Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge of forensic science techniques, protocols, methodologies, quality assurance standards, and computer forensic and cyber security examination procedures, instrumentation, and software sufficient to properly access, preserve, and extract appropriate evidence from a variety of media and conduct detailed and complex analyses and
