Data Engineer Cupertino, California, United States Hardware Apple Silicon is looking for an individual who will deliver data-driven insights to develop the next Apple products. We are looking for an individual to help us build and improve our data infrastructure, which includes parsing the semiconductor test data, prioritizing and storing them in the database, and delivering the curated datasets to the engineering teams. Description Be a domain expert in the data usage, availability, and structure Improve and enhance database and data pipeline Develop data sources (materialized views, projections) to support reporting and machine learning projects Develop API and other methods to provide data access Collaborate with semiconductor product and test engineering teams to understand data needs and develop data delivery solutions Work with infrastructure teams, including DBA & IT, to ensure accurate functioning of all the data pipelines and the health of data warehouse Minimum Qualifications BS + 3 years of relevant proven experience (BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related. MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related preferred) Key Qualifications Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with large datasets' processing, extraction, analysis and reporting Deep knowledge & hands-on experience with Oracle and Cassandra database design & architecture Strong proficiency with Python programming language Strong proficiency with query plans and crafting curated datasets Strong skills with Linux operating systems running in production. Knowledge of the semiconductor process is helpful Experience with STDF parsing code development is helpful Experience in Machine Learning is helpful Experience in building data API is helpful Proven record of taking ownership and optimally delivering results. Ability to learn new technologies Education & Experience Additional Requirements Pay & Benefits At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $136,300 and $248,700, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
