Job Description: Scrum Master The Scrum Master supports agile team(s) in delivery of complex solutions that deliver business value. This position will partner with the product owner to support product backlog definition, refinement, and prioritization to feed sprints. Proactively eliminate barriers, coach team members on best practices, and run scrum ceremonies. Responsibilities: Teaches, mentors, coaches, and facilitates the agile mindset. Facilitates and coaches team's progress toward the goal and commitments through improvement in quality, predictability, flow, and velocity. Facilitates improvements in practices/processes within teams. Facilitates Scrum ceremonies including daily standups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, team demos, and retrospectives. Focuses on improving team dynamics, performance, and management of conflicts while exhibiting lean agile and scrum principles in all actions. Supports and coaches the Product Owner, preserves collaborative relationships and communicates extensively with the global community, identifies, and removes impediments while maintaining a healthy and transparent relationship. Facilitates preparation and readiness for Agile Release Train (ART) ceremonies and supports the team and ART estimate, helps coordinate with other teams on the ART. Apply deep technical expertise to resolve challenging programming and design problems. Partner with the Product Manager/Owners to support short and long-term release planning, and to keep work backlog healthy and prepared for execution. Conduct demand and capacity planning models. Track deliverables and maintain in partnership with Product Managers an IT forecasting roadmap. Oversee and manage scope, budget, timeline, quality, and deliverables that support business goals. Create a team environment that is open, non-judgmental, and trustworthy, while emphasizing problem solving. Protect scrum team from outside interference during a sprint. Remove impediments or guide team on how to remove impediments. Assess team maturity with assistance and coach the team to higher levels of maturity at a sustainable pace. Report on team progress each sprint through defined metrics. Partner with product manager/owner and business stakeholders to ensure scrum team focus is on highest business value. Act as liaison between clients and delivery teams, making sure that projects are successful and that teams are enabled to deliver excellence. Participate in project estimation sessions with technical and business stakeholders. Provide periodic status as progressing through the iteration. Requirements: 5+ years' related experience in IT engineering and a minimum of 4 years' experience in Agile software development as a scrum master delivering complex products to customers. Strong presentation, influencing, and relationship management skills. Knowledge of Agile principles and concepts. Strong communication, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and team building skills. Experience in risk and change management. Ability to work with teams not co-located. Experience working with multiple software development teams that diligently applied Scrum principles, practices, and theory. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Ability to lead teams in brainstorming, root cause analysis, or similar problem-solving techniques to assist in resolving issues, crafting solutions, or defining process improvement. Ability to coach on Scrum/Agile processes and give feedback to individuals and teams. Demonstrated planning and organizing skills. Compensation and Benefits: Our Lead Cybersecurity earns between $143,800.00-$215,800.00 USD annually. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
