Description SAIC, a leading provider of systems development & deployment, targeting & intelligence analysis, systems engineering & integration, and training capabilities and solutions for the Intelligence Community, is seeking creative and dedicated professionals to fulfill their career goals and objectives while delivering mission excellence on programs of national importance. We are seeking a highly motivated C yber Security Engineer to join our National Intelligence Program supporting the operations, maintenance of a complex , hybrid on–premises and cloud enterprise IT environment . As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will be working with an agile, fast paced team focused on defending our client's network. Key Responsibilities: Monitor network performance , systems for po tential threats , troubleshoot issues, and escalate appropriately to respond to incidents Identify , escalate, and address incidents, conduct thorough root cause analyses and work with senior engineers to implement corrective actions to prevent future breache s Parti cipate in accreditation process es for systems to ensure compliance with the Sponsor's security standards and certifications I mplement security measures designed by senior engineers Lea rn security policies and protocols to ensuring compliance with IC standards and collaborate with other engineers to conduct regular vulnerability assessments to identify and address weaknesses Support Assessment and Authorization (A&A) and information assurance processes and documentation Participate in efforts to e nsure network reliability and availability through redundancy, failover, and other high–availability techniques Demonst rate willingness to learn new concepts and steadily take on additional responsibilities Stay abreast of the latest network technology trends that can enhance the performance and capability of analytics and software services Qualifications Required : Possess a n active TS/SCI clearance with Polygraph Bachelor's degree in Computer Science , Information Technology, or a related field Familiarity with high–performance network infrastructure that supports data–heavy analytic and software applications Experience with modern networking technologies, including SD–WAN, MPLS, VPN, and /or cloud networking services Understanding of Cisco routers and switches ' c onfigur ation , manag ement , and troubleshooting Knowledge of network security practices, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption Strong analytical and problem–solving abilities, able to address complex networking challenges Excellent communication skills, with the capacity to articulate technical concepts to non–technical stakeholders Desired: Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages to streamline network operations Experience in Cybersecurity Fundamentals (e.g., SANS courses, MITRE ATT&CK, CEH or similar training/experience) Computer Networking experience (e.g., TCP/IP, packet capture data structures, TLS and related data) SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.
