In the role of Traffic EIT, we'll count on you to: Assist on traffic engineering projects, exercise sound engineering judgment, and prepare Traffic Analysis Reports Perform traffic analysis tasks, including development of future volumes, signal warrant analyses, deterministic analysis, mesoscopic and microscopic simulation Coordinate design issues within the project team and with task leaders to develop solutions to technical challenges Participate in work sessions in conjunction with other staff Coordinate workload through entire project development, and ensure completion of tasks on schedule and within budget Perform other duties as needed
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate Conduct traffic design using CAD platforms including MicroStation, Autocad and Guide Sign software Conduct operational analysis using a variety of analysis and modeling tools specific to support job duties, including HCS, Synchro, VISSIM, and Aimsun Conduct safety analysis using a variety of safety software tools including Highway Safety Software Strong verbal and written skills Ability to multitask while working on many projects at once An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
Preferred Qualifications
2 years of relevant experience EIT strongly preferred. Experience using HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, Sidra, Vissim, Aimsun, and other traffic software packages preferred Familiarity with using Microstation and other roadway design and CADD software Experience with traffic studies, TMP development, traffic forecasting, traffic modeling and traffic analysis including a thorough knowledge of the Highway Capacity Manual, MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book.
