Oregon Veterinary Medical Association
Veterinarian
Oregon Veterinary Medical Association, Wilmington, Delaware, us, 19894
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Veterinarian to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal care and welfare, providing high-quality medical treatment to a variety of animals. As a Veterinarian, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating illnesses, performing surgeries, and ensuring the overall health of pets in our care. You will work closely with pet owners to educate them on proper animal care and preventive health measures.
We started as a mobile practice in 2022 but found that we needed to expand for our clientele. We will be operating the truck for mostly mobile appointments and the brick and mortar for overflow and same-day appointments, as well as surgery. This opportunity extends to a full-time position at our brick and mortar with the possibility of mobile if desired. Our goal is to provide excellent medical care while extending a family practice feel, as we believe that most pet owners feel like their pet is a family member and should be treated with a gentle touch.
Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough examinations of animals to assess their health status. Diagnose and treat various medical conditions and injuries. Perform surgical procedures as necessary, including spaying, neutering, and emergency surgeries. Administer vaccinations and medications as required. Provide guidance to pet owners on nutrition, behavior, and preventive care. Maintain accurate medical records for all patients. Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high standards of care. Stay updated on advancements in veterinary medicine and participate in continuing education opportunities.
