The preferred working location for this role is the Medtronic facility located in Mounds View, Minnesota; however, the individual may also work remotely within the US or onsite at another US-based Medtronic facility. The Data Migration Team is responsible for managing the processes and tools used to move data from a source application to a target application. The Data Migration Architect is responsible for architecting the solutions to support the data migration projects and supporting the execution of the data migration projects. This project supports Medtronic’s objectives for acquisition integrations, business process improvement, new capability development, and system retirement. The Data Readiness Lead role within the Data Migration Team is crucial for organizations that are undergoing significant data-driven transformations, implementing new systems, or managing complex data migration processes. It is a business-facing role focusing on harmonization, cleansing, and overall data integrity for both master and transactional data as part of the data migration process. This role is responsible for defining and leading the data readiness process throughout the full data migration lifecycle. Develops, documents, and configures systems specifications that conform to defined architecture standards, address business requirements, and processes. Involved in planning of system and development deployment as well as responsible for meeting hardware and software compliance and security standards. Evaluates interface between hardware and software, operational requirements and characteristics of overall system. Establishes and documents system design, parameters and formats, ensures hardware and software systems functionality, performance and compatibility, and coordinates and/or modifies system parameters in terms of configurations, such as existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Actively identifies system functionality or performance deficiencies, executes changes to existing systems, and tests functionality of the system to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, data integrity, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage. May document testing and maintenance of system updates, modifications, and configurations. May act as a liaison with key technology vendor technologists or other business functions. Function Specific: Strategically design technology solutions that meet the needs and goals of the company and its customers/users. Leverages platform process expertise to assess if existing standard platform functionality will solve a business problem or customization solution would be required. Gather and prioritize integration requirements. Test the quality of a product and its ability to perform a task or solve problems. Perform basic maintenance and performance optimization procedures in each of the primary operating systems. Technology: Using computational thinking to define technological solutions to real-life problems. Design technology that allows for the optimal user experience and broad accessibility. Ability to document detailed technical system specifications based on business system requirements. Architect/Design data quality and cleansing framework with data quality rules, scorecards, dashboards. Analyze legacy source data, conduct data mapping sessions, recommend data harmonization, cleansing scenarios, and data loads to SAP using SAP BODs. Work with cross-functional teams from a data perspective to drive business transformational change with partners, business units, and solution teams in creating adaptable solutions. Proactively work with different stakeholders, end users, and cross-functional teams to understand data migration requirements and activities. MUST HAVE (Minimum Qualifications)

High school diploma (or equivalent) and 4+ years of experience. NICE TO HAVE (Preferred Qualifications)

Strongly Preferred: Previous Medtronic experience. SAP Material and Manufacturing Master (BOM's, Routings, & Work Centers) data analysis and design skills. Strong understanding of Data Migration Methodology comprised of profiling, harmonization cleansing, transformation, and validation activities. Planning and facilitation skills to conduct Data Harmonization and Cleansing working sessions with the business team members throughout the full data migration project life cycle. SAP Customer and Purchasing Master (Vendors, Sources Lists, & Purchasing Info Records) data analysis and design skills. End to end Order to Cash, Purchase to Pay, and Plan to Manufacture business process understanding. Experience with using various data migration tools and solutions that apply to SAP data migration implementations (BODS, Information Steward, MDG, etc.). S/4 HANA implementation experience. Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD): $95,200.00 - $142,800.00. This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP). The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
