TSC is seeking a
MRADR Software Engineer
in
Dahlgren, VA.
This position supports the
Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) . This Multi-Role, Adaptive and Resilient software engineer will work to design, develop and maintain advanced software defense systems. Additionally, there will be involvement in collaborative test planning working groups, scenario working groups, exposure and interaction with hardware and software sub-systems, and related areas. This role will include regular and frequent interaction with US Government customers and responsibilities will include both technical and programmatic tasks. Strong written and oral communication is required for daily interactions and presentation duties. Assigned tasking will be at both individual and team levels. Responsibilities:
Develop systems capable of performing multiple roles (e.g., surveillance, communication, and targeting in defense systems) in support of the Amphibious and Carrier Fleets. Work on integrating software solutions with complex hardware platforms. Develop algorithms and control systems to support adaptive capabilities and evaluate them against design requirements. Conduct rigorous testing to ensure system resilience and reliability under varied conditions. Address technical challenges related to system performance and operational constraints while implementing solutions that enhance system flexibility and robustness. Prepare detailed documentation on system functionality, performance metrics, and testing results. Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in software or computer engineering, Systems Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering. Other acceptable majors include mathematics, computer science, or physics and 5 or more years of industry experience. US citizenship and at minimum an active secret clearance. Experience in defense software engineering. Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C++, Python, MATLAB). Strong understanding of adaptive control systems, AI, and machine learning as they apply to dynamic environments. Knowledge of radar systems, RF technologies, or signal processing. Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities. Knowledge of U.S. Navy or U.S. Coast Guard Fleet Operations desired.
