Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Daycare professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children in our care. This role involves working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children, ensuring their developmental needs are met while fostering a love for learning.
Education and Experience Requirements:
Sixty (60) college semester credits
Twelve (12) of the credits must be in child-related courses
Or
twenty-four (24) months experience and twelve (12) college semester credits in child-related courses Duties: Supervise and engage with children in daily activities, ensuring their safety and well-being. Plan and implement age-appropriate educational activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development. Provide care for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and comforting as needed. Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment that is conducive to learning. Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress and any concerns. Collaborate with other staff members to create a positive atmosphere for both children and families. Observe and document children’s behavior and development to tailor activities to their needs. Skills: Strong caregiving skills with experience in childcare settings. Knowledge of early childhood education principles and practices. Experience working with infants, toddlers, and preschool-aged children. Ability to create engaging classroom activities that educate while entertaining. Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with children, parents, and colleagues. Patience, empathy, and the ability to handle challenging situations calmly. Familiarity with toddler care practices is preferred but not mandatory.
