Immediate opening for an Automatic Optical Inspection Programmer in Brea, CA who possesses:
Must have Data Sheets lookup experience and ability to determine markings
Experience with Solder Inspection on PCB boards required
Experience reading BOM (Bill of Materials)
Navigation around blueprints and drawings
FULL DESCRIPTION:
AOI Programmer will be responsible for inspecting SMT and through hole printed circuit board assemblies for defects utilizing AOI equipment for conformance to IPC Class II and III standards. Inspecting activities: auditing, documentation and verification. Checks and inspects operation results against predetermined tolerances.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
Setup and operation of Automated Optical Inspection machine
Operating equipment in a fast-paced electro-mechanical production environment
Understanding rules and requirements for proper handling of electronic components: Electrostatic Static Discharge (ESD) while adhering to all ESD requirements and Board Handling
Use of Moisture Sensitive Device (MSD) handling requirements based on the components' moisture sensitive levels (MSL)
Verifying product compliance to workmanship standards as documented in work instructions
Verifying process compliance to establish AOI programs
Verifying integrity of data collected by machinery
Communicating defects not captured by equipment to responsible personnel for enhancement of program integrity
Communicating to assembly operators defects noted during the AOI program review
Understanding the control panels and indicators while running the machine
Ensuring processes and equipment remain acceptable within company manufacturing standards and AS9100 requirements
Comprehending and following instructions, reading and understanding blueprints
Properly handling and disposing of all waste, including hazardous wastes generated in daily operations while maintaining cleanliness of the work area
The selected candidate will also possess:
Ability to read and interpret documents, procedures, instructions, operation manuals, safety rules, etc.
Interpersonal and language skills necessary to deal with people at all levels within the organization
Ability to understand basic reports relating to this department
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in electronics assembly manufacturing or similar industry
Knowledge of Automated Optical Inspection equipment and procedures
Comprehension of IPC-610A and J-STD-001 standards. Prior certification is a plus
Understanding how electronic components are oriented and distinguishing different part numbers
Ability to interpret Engineering Documentation and work instructions
Good verbal and written communication skills
Ability to read, interpret and develop documents, instructions, operation manuals, safety rules, etc.
1 year of AS9100 experience
3 years of Electronic Manufacturing experience
Experience operating Automated Optical Inspection (AOI) machine
Ability to analyze and solve complex problems, manage multiple tasks given in written and oral form
IPC-610 and/or J-STD-001 Certification is required
