Your expertise will be crucial in navigating privacy regulations and fostering a culture of data protection.
As a Vice President - Privacy Classification Lead in the Firmwide Privacy Office, you will support the design, development and implementation of the firm's privacy classification framework. You will work closely with key stakeholders to implement privacy strategies that align with our firm's goals. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring that our privacy practices meet global standards and support our data-driven initiatives.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead the development and implementation of the firm's privacy classification framework, including glossaries and taxonomies. Ensure consistent data classification practices across all business functions. Oversee the documentation and communication of classification standards and guidelines. Conduct regular reviews and updates of the classification framework to align with regulatory changes and business needs. Provide expert guidance and support to teams on data classification and privacy-related matters. Develop and deliver training programs to promote understanding and adherence to classification standards. Collaborate with stakeholders to integrate classification standards into data management processes. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
5+ years of experience in privacy program design and implementation, with a focus on Privacy data classification. Strong understanding of privacy regulations and their implications for data classification. Proven experience in developing and implementing data classification frameworks in a large organization. Proven ability to advise on privacy requirements for new initiatives and regulatory developments. Knowledge of global privacy laws, including GDPR and CCPA, and their application in a corporate setting. Ability to work independently and manage relationships across functions and regions. Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:
Experience in privacy at a financial institution. Privacy certifications such as CIPM or CIPP.
