The Role:
Cognizant is looking for an experienced and innovative
Lead .NET Developer w/React/Azure
to serve our diverse base of global clients. As a member of our team, you will build cutting-edge, cloud-based software that powers modern business. An ideal candidate is someone who enjoys working in a diverse, collaborative, geographically distributed team and is an expert engineer who values the team, drives continuous improvement, and is unafraid to challenge the legacy status quo with creative cloud-based solutions. Location: Washington, DC Responsibilities: Collaborate with stakeholders to understand workload requirements, performance expectations, and scalability needs. Domain knowledge with Loan/Lending Design compute architectures that optimize resource utilization, minimize latency, and enhance overall system performance. Determine the appropriate compute resources based on workload characteristics. Balance cost-effectiveness with performance requirements, implementing auto-scaling strategies to handle varying workloads. Optimize parallel processing, GPU utilization, and distributed computing, ensuring efficient data movement and synchronization. Design event-driven workflows that respond dynamically to triggers, leveraging Azure Event Grid and Azure Event Hubs. Integrate security best practices into compute designs, implementing access controls, encryption, and network segmentation. Troubleshoot performance bottlenecks and optimize resource utilization. Provide a long-term vision for the platform, considering changes in technology within the context of ITS current implementation. Design and validate solutions that are practical, flexible, resilient, scalable, reusable, and strategic. Institute and lead the adoption of best practices and standards to improve the quality of deliverables. Required Skills: Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience working with Microsoft .NET framework 4.5+ using Visual Studio (2019). Expert-level expertise with Microsoft .NET framework 4.5+ & .NET core using Visual Studio (2019), Azure DevOps & Azure Pipeline. Experience in developing web applications using HTML5, JQuery, CSS3, ReactJS, and JavaScript for UI components. Proficiency in React.js, Node.js, Docker, and related technologies. Familiarity with micro front-end patterns (e.g., single-spa, module federation). Experience with Azure PaaS services for web hosting, API management, and compute options. Hands-on experience in creating PaaS solutions with Azure services. Experience with ADO.Net, Entity Framework 4.0+. Proficiency in Git version control, including branching, merging, and resolving conflicts. Applications will be accepted until 01/01/2025. The annual salary for this position is between $81,337- $141,500 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans. Benefits:
