Position Title: Data Center Controls Engineer
Location: Hayward, California
Position Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and perform Root Cause Analysis or Corrective Action for Control Systems for AWS data centers. Apply controls fundamental concepts, practices and procedures to manage scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) in operational AWS Data Centers. Train and assist internal customers and stakeholders with the creation, design, configuration, validation, installation, commissioning and operation of BMS and EPMS systems. Provide technical assistance and support to internal customers during the life cycle of the data center. Provide technical support to in-service data centers. Work with critical data center equipment including Generators, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Switchgear, Transformers, Power Feeders, Chillers, Plumbing, Fire Detection/Suppression, Air Handling Units, Computer Room Air Handling/Conditioning Units, UPS, CRAH, and CRAC. Drive practical constructability standards in design documentation. Perform constructability reviews of electrical and mechanical designs associated with the construction of new data centers. 40 hours / week, 8:00am-5:00pm, Salary Range $112,091/year to $239,300/year BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
Position Requirements: Master’s degree or foreign equivalent degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or a related field and one year of relevant experience as a Data Center Controls Engineer, Technical Operations Engineer, Controls Engineer, or a related occupation. Must have one year of experience in the following skill(s): Working on the design, commissioning, or construction of data centers, mission critical facilities, or equivalent center/facility delivery. Experience with installation, configuration, or servicing, of electrical, mechanical, or hardware products using at least one of the following: Siemen’s Apogee, Schneider Electric’s PowerLogic, Schneider Electric’s StruxureWare, Rockwell Automation’s FactoryTalk, Tridium’s Niagara, or Eaton’s Forseer. Experience in Controls or Electrical construction project coordination with multiple teams or vendors to meet project requirements. Partial telecommuting permitted; employees will be required to report to office multiple days per week. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
