Senior Design Engineer
to support our North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization to join our team of military turbine component designers. What You Will Do: Design assemblies and components to support new engine programs and improve current products. Execute engineering calculations throughout the concept, preliminary, and final design phases. Work closely with internal and vendor manufacturing operations to ensure producible part designs; disposition non-conforming material; and support continued operation of engines in service. Participate in Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings to ensure the success of product designs and engineering changes. Provide mentorship. Travel up to 10%. What You Will Learn: Model base definition. Design of military turbine products for legacy and future applications. Qualifications You Must Have: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering and 5 years relevant experience in aerospace, mechanical, or equivalent experience, or an Advanced degree in Engineering and 3 years relevant experience in aerospace, mechanical, or equivalent experience. Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess U.S. citizenship. Qualifications We Prefer: Active, transferable, and/or the ability to obtain security clearance from the U.S. Government. Knowledgeable of manufacturing processes/materials such as milling, turning, welding, coatings, and investment casting. Proven experience in the successful execution of engineering tasks to meet technical, schedule, and budget requirements. Multiple experiences executing product designs and hardware deliveries for prototype and production applications. Capability to work and collaborate with other non-collocated teams. The North Berwick Engineering Center (NBEC) organization is responsible for engineering activities for hardware throughout the gas turbine including the Fan/Low Pressure Compressor, High Pressure Compressor, Combustor, Low Pressure Turbine, High Pressure Turbine, and Mechanical System modules across all of Pratt & Whitney's military and commercial products. Role Type:
In addition to transforming the future of flight, we are also transforming how and where we work. This role is: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines. Salary Range:
The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. Benefits:
