About the role:
We're seeking an
Engineer II
to join the opening team! Don't miss this unique opportunity to join our team and be part of the world's leading luxury hotel company! The Engineer II will support the day-to-day operation of the Engineering Department. The Engineer II provides service and repairs to hotel equipment including electrical, plumbing, steam, gas, fire & safety, HVAC refrigeration, interior, paint and decorating, and respond to inquiries and problems in an efficient, courteous, and professional manner to achieve maximum customer satisfaction while complying with all Four Seasons’ policies. What you will do: Handle preventative maintenance of all equipment and update appropriate logs. Handle all repairs of equipment including motors, starters, breakers, chillers and associated equipment throughout the entire building. Comply with Four Seasons’ Category One and Category Two Work Rules and Standards of Conduct as set forth in EmPact. Work harmoniously and professionally with co-workers and supervisors. Respond to guest calls regarding maintenance of rooms and equipment in rooms or public area in a timely manner. Respond to all emergency conditions such as fires, power failures, etc. Clean all stations in Engineering, grease traps, plumbing stoppages and maintain an organized department and hotel. Install or relocate any additional equipment or existing equipment when necessary. Assist with energy conservation programs in the hotel. Assist in the installation of electrical and mechanical systems for renovations, outlet additions and associated equipment and electrical set ups for exhibits including maintenance of those set-ups. What you bring: Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English Language. High School graduate. Minimum three years experience in general building repair and maintenance or equivalent trade experience. Formal Schooling in at least two of the following areas or graduation from an approved technical school in one: Electrical Trouble shooting and repairs. H.V.A.C. System Operation and repairs. Refrigeration system operation and repairs with CFC full certification card. Plumbing system and repairs. Certified Pool Operator certificate. And/or holds one of the following active California Contractors State License Board Licenses: C-4 Boiler, Hot Water Heating & steam Fitting License. C-10 Electrical. C-20 Warm air heating, ventilating & air conditioning contractor. C-36 Plumbing. C-38 Refrigeration. Life and Fire Safety System Knowledge. Steam and gas fired equipment knowledge. Knowledge of proper use and care of hand and power tools. Good sight, hearing, and balance. Demonstration of satisfactory knowledge/skills on a written and/or hands on evaluation administered by the Chief Engineer. Candidates must have excellent personal presentation and interpersonal skills. Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States. What we offer: Hourly Rate: $33.00.
