We are seeking an outstanding candidate to lead the technical development, implementation, and engineering execution of various utility-scale PV and BESS projects within our EPC team. This role involves managing and developing our engineering team and will report directly to the CEO. You will oversee the engineering deliverables for multiple projects throughout the design and construction stages, both internally and externally.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a strategic and results-driven Vice President of Engineering to lead and scale our engineering organization. You will be responsible for mentoring and managing a talented engineering team to design and engineer utility-scale PV and energy storage projects. This involves developing project engineering and internal capabilities for electrical, civil and mechanical design, as well as working with customers and external engineering resources.
Key Responsibilities
Build and lead an industry-leading solar and battery storage engineering team focused on project quality and deployment efficiency.
Define processes, metrics, and allocate resources to ensure strategic alignment and technical training.
Foster a culture of accountability, engagement, and motivation, ensuring engineers are recognized and supported in their roles.
Lead efforts to continuously improve engineering processes, technology infrastructure, and tools, driving innovation and operational efficiency within the team.
Review and optimize current engineering team processes.
Coordinate with external engineering consultants.
Lead project kickoffs, allocate resources, and set deadlines.
Oversee drawing reviews to ensure compliance with standards and specifications.
Approve team deliverables prior to client submission.
Manage system sizing calculations and production reports.
Collaborate with estimating and procurement to build detailed bills of materials.
Support project management and construction teams to meet client expectations and deadlines.
Collaborate with the Innovation & Standards group on technical development.
Support business development and project specification reviews.
Research and implement value engineering and pre-fab concepts.
Support commissioning standards and processes.

Your Background
Authorization to work in the United States.
B.S. degree in engineering (electrical or power systems a plus).
Professional Engineer (PE) License strongly preferred.
Minimum of 10 years of engineering experience, preferably in construction related industries.
At least 5 years of management experience leading an engineering team.
Proven track record in designing and building utility-scale solar and/or battery systems in the U.S.
Expertise in electrical power engineering principles and analytical tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM, CYME).
Familiarity with relevant code standards (e.g., NEC, NFPA 855, IEEE, NESC).
Thorough knowledge of site assessment, interconnection, and permitting processes.
Experience in business development, estimating, EPC contracting, and technical exhibits preferred.
Ability to manage large technical organizations and multiple suppliers and contractors.
Strong strategic perspective and action orientation.

Willingness to travel domestically.
