Overview

Abile Group has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Network Engineer supporting an Intelligence Community Customer in Alexandria, VA. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and maintaining unified communication systems. You will work closely with our Network and Systems Engineering teams to ensure the successful deployment and ongoing support of unified communication solutions. This role requires a strong understanding of various unified communication technologies and a passion for staying up-to-date with the latest industry trends. The right candidate will possess the below skills and qualifications and be ready to handle all responsibilities independently and professionally. Responsibilities

Responsible for configuring, managing, monitoring, and maintaining government Command and Control (C2) voice and video collaboration devices. Implementing, testing, and troubleshooting enterprise collaboration solutions supporting an operational voice and video network. Develops, implements, and manages voice and video collaboration processes including design standards to ensure compliance, relevancy, and sustainability. Performs capacity planning of the collaboration services by monitoring and analyzing network performance and availability of voice and video services. Proactively researches and evaluates tools and technologies, as appropriate, to the collaboration environment, while developing solutions to increase performance and lower the total cost of ownership. Provides Tier I and Tier II support by providing trouble resolution of the voice and video infrastructure and perform on-call duties and off-hours support when needed. Flexible with scheduled support of outages after hours and on weekends. Qualifications

Clearance Required:

Active TS/SCI Degree and Years of Experience:

Bachelor’s degree with communications focus or equivalent plus 2 Years of Experience in networking, design, development, and implementation of voice and video collaboration. Desired Certifications: Security+ certification or DoD 8570 Level II equivalent Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Required Skills: Implements and manages local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), and other network-related technologies. Performs network configuration and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance and security. Monitors network performance and proactively addresses any issues to minimize downtime. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to integrate network solutions into new and existing systems. Conducts regular maintenance and firmware upgrades on network infrastructure. Creates required documentation for network infrastructure. Builds network and telecommunications systems for deployment, assists in testing, and prepares for shipping. Assists in the installation, operations, and maintenance of network devices & systems in the network/data centers and network infrastructure closets. Provides on-call support and responds to system emergencies as required. Desired Skills: BSEE, BSCE or BSCS with networking focus, and a minimum of 2+ years relevant networking experience. Experience and understanding with the future of Cisco's SIP and Cisco Unified Communications Manager. In-depth implementation and troubleshooting experience of collaboration using concepts/protocols such as H.263, H.264, bandwidth resolutions and frame rates, frame picture formats, HDMI resolutions, G7.xx audio frame rates, voice and video encryption, and device certificates. Experience with voice and video collaboration systems such as the CUCM, UCS platform, CMS Meeting Server, Telepresence Management System, Video Communication Servers, Multi-controller Units, and Voice Gateways. Experience with Network Engineering Collaboration, CCNA, Cisco CDR Reporting and Call Analytics, Sigma Phone Conferencing, Cisco Prime Provisioning, Cisco Call Manager, Cisco HyperFlex, Cisco Prime Collaboration Assurance. Experience with AMX and VQ. Exceptional verbal, written (including the development of procedural documentation), interpersonal, and presentation skills desired. Experience with voice and video performance management tools, security tools and appliances, layer two technologies, wireless communications, and firewall/gateway traversals is preferred. Experience working in a lab development environment performing testing and development functions. Self-driven and resourceful in achieving goals independently as well as in cooperation with others. Flexibility to adjust to changing requirements, schedules, and priorities. The ability to socialize ideas, make recommendations, and gather team consensus to move forward. Working knowledge of networking fundamentals such as network protocols and common services (e.g., DNS, FTP, SSH, SNMP). Previous experience supporting a Government and/or Department of Defense customer.
