Job Description SUMMARY U.S. Bank is seeking a seasoned Senior Business Process Consultant/Analyst with relevant experience to contribute toward the success of our technology initiatives in the Swap Data Reporting space. This position reports to the VP of Derivatives and FX Compliance Support and will partner with technology, operations and compliance stakeholders to implement and maintain the technology solutions necessary to support an effective risk management framework.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide technical leadership on installation, configuration, and use of technology solutions to support Swap Data Reporting operations.
Define business requirements and ensure that business rules are applied consistently across different technology solutions and user interfaces.
Provide training and support to users.
Lead special projects and/or activities that ensure compliance with applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.
Define and participate in processes for validation and reconciliation of reportable swaps traded by the Bank as defined by CFTC regulation and industry practice.
Inform policies, procedures, and controls to minimize regulatory exposure.
Identify gaps and implement solutions that mitigate risks such as inadequate internal processes, systems, or human errors.
Collaborate with Technology & Operations Services, Compliance, Legal, Risk & Control and business line managers to ensure transparent and aligned objectives.
Serve as a functional liaison between the business line and the lines-of-defense including compliance and audit and potentially legal and/or regulators.
Act as subject matter expert for reporting regulations and related industry practices.
REQUIRED
7-10 years of applicable experience.
Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience.
PREFERRED
Thorough knowledge of Foreign Exchange and Interest Rate asset classes and derivatives.
Strong understanding of capital markets operations and the regulatory requirements for timely, complete, and accurate reporting for FX and Over-the-Counter Derivative (OTC) Derivatives products (17 CFR Parts 43 and 45).
Broad awareness of the Depository Trust & Clearing Corporation (DTCC) framework for swaps reporting.
Familiarity with CGI Object Charlie, Calypso, and/or Numerix's Wallstreet FX applications.
Ability to maintain currency with industry changes including applicable laws, rule amendments, regulatory expectations and trends, DTCC technical specifications and other industry-wide initiatives that may have a material impact on swap data reporting.
Experience with audit/regulatory issue management, response and escalation.
Demonstrated experience in the successful implementation of operational process change and improvement within capital markets operations.
Strong process facilitation and project management skills.
Strong presentation, relationship building, collaboration and negotiation skills.
Effective oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated, highly-organized and able to work independently without direct supervision.
Well-developed analytical, problem solving, and critical thinking skills and comfortable with ambiguity.
Advanced proficiency with spreadsheet and database tools, e.g., Microsoft Excel, Access, SQL, etc.
Knowledge of U.S. Bank’s operations, systems and practices.
This position offers a hybrid/flexible schedule which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days.
