This role is part of the Blue Origin Engines business unit, where our focus is the design, development, manufacturing, and testing of engines and propulsion systems. Built for multiple uses, our family of engines is powering the next generation of rockets for commercial, civil, national security, and human spaceflight.

As part of a diverse and hardworking team of specialists, you will help design, develop, fabricate, test and fly rocket engines and propulsion systems that meet Blue Origin's launch vehicle program requirements for the BE-4 Program. You will share in the team's impact on all aspects of the structural analysis work of the BE-4 rocket engine program. Responsibilities for this role include developing Component Finite Element Models (FEM) based on interaction with the design and engine system analysis team and perform classic hand calculations and FEM Simulations of rocket engine hardware including Thrust Chamber and their various components. You will also use structural analysis methods to support test and failure investigations and improve existing analytical capabilities while providing guidance to design and structural analysis engineers to improve the performance of designs. Additionally, you will communicate analysis results to the team.

Minimum Qualifications
Minimum of a B.S. degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering and 2+ years of experience in structural analysis utilizing FEM
Excellent understanding of structural analysis/mechanics
Ability to work effectively in teams
Ability to be self-directed and balance several tasks at one time
Ability to communicate analysis results effectively
Ability to earn trust, maintain positive and professional relationships, and contribute to a culture of inclusion.
Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of ANSYS Mechanical strongly desired.
Knowledge of at least one programming/scripting language (Python/MATLAB/etc)
Experience with structural modeling of pressurized components, rocket engine hardware, or similar high performance hardware
Compensation Range
CA applicants is $89,820.00-$125,748.00; CO applicants is $82,335.00-$115,269.00; WA applicants is $89,820.00-$125,748.00
