Permian Resources (NYSE: PR) is currently seeking a Reservoir Engineering Advisor reporting to the Vice President of Engineering in Midland, TX. The Reservoir Engineering Advisor will have the opportunity to provide reservoir engineering technical analysis across all Permian Resources properties and help support all asset teams. This is a high impact role with analysis and work that will be regularly shown to senior management. The ideal candidate will have strong technical as well as communication skills and be able to contribute his/her expertise while working on multi-disciplinary team in a fast-paced environment.
General Responsibilities
Perform reservoir engineering evaluations on properties to predict reservoir performance and quality, optimize parent/child depletion effects and provide technical analysis to the asset teams with reservoir modeling analysis. Use evaluation techniques such as rate transient analysis, decline curve analysis, pressure build up analysis, material balance, nodal analysis, reservoir modeling and economic analysis. Develop and make presentations to senior management and provide mentoring to reservoir engineering staff as needed.
Minimum Qualifications BS in Petroleum Engineering 8+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer Must have a proficient technical background in reservoir engineering including PVT theory, phase behavior and reservoir simulation. Must have ability to integrate all types of data from multiple disciplines including geology, geophysics and petrophysics. Must have a full working knowledge of rate transient analysis theory and experience in RTA workflows (Whitson+, Harmony, etc...). Must have good communication skills and be able to work in a high paced team environment.
Preferred Qualifications Prefer MS in Petroleum Engineering. 10+ years of experience as a Reservoir Engineer with experience in the Permian Basin Should be proficient in decline curve analysis, volumetrics, material balance, pressure transient analysis and reservoir simulation with no supervision.
