Registration Services Manager
to join the client-facing Information Technology Services team in our
Chicago

The Registration Services Manager is accountable for leading and coordinating the overall delivery of various tasks needed to provide clients and event guests with a seamless registration experience. They will be responsible for assisting in the development and implementation of all registration related activities including project management, financial support, team management, and oversight of all aspects of registration for assigned client meetings. What You Will Do Supports the Registration team in developing and implementing aspects of the registration strategy. Develops registration solutions and innovations that are tailored and relevant to the client’s needs. Oversee client registration budgets and assists in financial reporting with client team. Contributes to overall team success by identifying problems and proactively seeking out methods to improve. Manages and oversees the registration team supporting all aspects of registration including registration build out, customer support, data/reporting, on-site registration needs. Use of Systems, Tools, Controls and Applications to fulfill registration services, reporting needs, and financial reconciliation for assigned clients. Meet and exceed service delivery expectations with clients, attendees, and exhibitors/sponsors. Participates in planning and debrief registration meetings, supports procurement of materials to provide onsite registration services. Adheres to all compliance, standards, and best practices in use of tools, data, and processes. Facilitate continuous communication between Smithbucklin units, clients, and attendees to meet the needs of client organizations. You exhibit strong multi-tasking and time management skills, including the ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks conforming to shifting priorities, demands, and timelines. You have demonstrated the ability to self-start as well as work as part of a team. You exhibit a high level of detail orientation. Basic Qualifications Ability to travel 15-20%, both domestic and international, to provide event technology support. 5+ years of registration/event experience. 2+ years of management experience. Preferred Qualifications Proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Proficiency with basic computer programming (HTML). Experience working within registration and/or association management systems (Cadmium, Swoogo). Strong communication skills (verbal & written). Demonstrate a history of being able to thrive in a fast-paced client application support environment. Ability to effectively lead and work with a team, as well as autonomously. Where Do You Fit? Additionally, successful candidates may qualify for a discretionary bonus up to and including 10% of base pay. The expected pay for this role is: $80,000-$90,000.
